The Best Bio Of WW

I'm looking for a good biography of Walt Whitman.

I appreciate that different biographies will have varying emphases and I will be happy to tackle more than one. However, initially what I really want is one that does a good and accurate job of describing who the man was, where he came from, etc. but also how his work developed.

I would appreciate suggestions.

I placed this request in the poetry section and the general literature section a couple of days ago. In total there have been around 160 views.
It seems amazing to me that not one person seems to have read any biography of Walt Whitman - who is such a revered person in the history and development of American Poetry. Amazing!
