Dr X, Beast, Wolverine, Storm, Rogue, Gambit, Iceman, Cyclops, Angel. That's nine.
How many Pre-Raphaelites can you name?
Dr X, Beast, Wolverine, Storm, Rogue, Gambit, Iceman, Cyclops, Angel. That's nine.
How many Pre-Raphaelites can you name?
Well, since I don't know anyone named Raphael, none.
How many minutes/hours can you go without peeing after drinking a pot of tea?
Obsessed with facial symmetry.
Depends on the weather, alcohol intake and friends who might make you laughMaybe 24h.
How many seconds can you abstain from thinking?
None. You cannot stop thinking. Even asleep your mind is active. You cease to think when you cease to live!
How many books are on your bedside table at the moment?
Some of us laugh
Some of us cry
Some of us smoke
Some of us lie
But it's all just the way
that we cope with our lives...
my sleeping arrangements preclude a bedside table, so zero. plus, whatever book im reading at present, I move it around with me throughout the day. have it sitting right here with me at the moment actually...
how many actors/actresses' are there whose movies you would watch more or less because that person was in it?
Maria Falconetti, Tatsuya Nakadai, Toshiro Mifune, Jack Nicholson, Anthony Hopkins, Ingrid Bergman, Max von Sydow, Robin Williams, Meryl Streep (although I draw the line this side of Mamma Mia!, no matter how much I may like Abba), Philip Seymour Hoffman, Emma Thompson, Morgan Freeman, Idris Elba, Ralph Fiennes, Natalie Portman, Michael Gambon, Ian McKellen, Alec Guinness, Robert De Niro, and Patrick Stewart.
How many directors are there whose movies you would watch more or less just because they directed the movie?
I'd have done better with this question when I was young and used to keep us with directors. And have hair. Let's see...Probably no more than a few now, though in part that may be due to age, because I've found that nowadays I don't automatically watch movies the way I did in my youth.
How many times in your life are you reasonable sure you saw something paranormal? And no, I don't mean your mother-in-law.
Obsessed with facial symmetry.
Perhaps five times I have seen things I can't explain. Paranormal? Maybe...
How many time have you refused to believe something that was later proven to be correct--and still refused to believe it?
Some of us laugh
Some of us cry
Some of us smoke
Some of us lie
But it's all just the way
that we cope with our lives...
that's a good question, and probably hints to an aspect of "stubbornness" that might not be all that desirable...but for me, its probably an unanswerable question, something I haven't really kept track of throughout my life.
~how many ounces in your morning cup of whatever?
7 ounces coffee
How many days of vacation do you have remaining this year? (And if you don't work: How many days will you go away on travel?)
was hoping someone else would answer that but in an effort to keep the thread moving...
im in a peculiar life situation that leads me to answer "n/a" to the first part, and zero for the last part.
no im not in prison!
how many pages to go in the book you are presently in? (and some comment on the remaining pages please)
Well, since I'm listening to "The Martian" in audiobook form, I don't know how many pages, but I have about two-thirds of the book remaining. And it's OK, bounty, we would never judge you for being in prison. I read the police report and fully understand how frustrating a trip to the DMV can be.
How many licks does it take to get the center of a Tootsie roll pop?
Obsessed with facial symmetry.
laughs...speaking of the dmv---the local mechanics telling me 3k to fix my car to make it pass nys inspection. so im not too happy with the state at the moment.
i think i asked that question some time ago...3 if we are to believe the wise owl.
whats going to happen in the rest of the martian story?
how many non-fiction books have you read in the past year? (and feel invited to say the titles)
I think three, which would include two Ray Kurzweil books and a Michio Kaku book.
No idea what's going to happen in the rest of "The Martian" because I gave up on it. A very clever idea for a story and so well-researched, but the writing is rather mechanical and since I can more or less guess how it turns out (but don't tell me if you know) and will probably see the movie, I bid it farewell.
How many layers of blankets, comforters, etc. do you sleep under in winter?
Obsessed with facial symmetry.
two---my usual is one sleeping bag and one quilt but this season though ive been going with two quilts. they are both really big too and can be doubled up for three or four layers if i want. i keep the door to my bedroom closed and so the temperature in the room is probably high 50s. long sleeves and pj bottoms, plus i sleep with a hat in the winter too.
how many miles in a "good hike?"
