Most people with titles live like common men already; so, that's a no-brainer.

Would you go on tour with your favorite band of all time--when they are/were alive--if you had to roadie the whole tour and could only listen to each performance from backstage?

Is there any reason I cannot simply have my so called best friend executed as well? If not than I would have a sniper archer placed somewhere to take him out. If my nephew was a grown man I would allow him to make the choice himself being aware of the risk if he wanted to stand guard.

An ex-girlfriend/boyfriend calls you to have lunch, you go but nothing inappropriate happens you just talk. Would you tell your current partner about it?

Assuming you are a king and your wife is guilty of treason against you through taking your best friend as a lover, and your bastard son and nephew insist on bringing them both to justice -which means being burnt at the stake- while you have sworn absolutely to uphold the law in all situations, making no exceptions for yourself; would you place enough security at the site where your wife is to be burned to keep out your aforementioned best friend (who is also the best knight in the world) should he attempt to intervene, or would you place only enough security that he is certain to overcome and kill them in his bid to rescue his lover, your wife? Essentially sacrificing all of the men placed on security.

Bonus question: One of your nephews wishes to stand guard, do you allow this even though the inevitable result of his death is an unrelenting and destructive feud?
No to the whole thing. I'd secretly get the Archbishop (in my capacity as defender of the faith) to issue an pardon, which I would pretend to oppose on jurisdictional grounds. But because I am such a God-fearing king, I would issue a stay of execution until the issue was resolved (which it never would be). Then I would get a good marriage councilor to get us through this little rough spot, in the meanwhile entrusting my beloved nephew with the task of discreetly kicking my former best friend to death for the crime of buddy f*cking.

Yes to telling my wife about the wench. There's no reason not to, and better she here it from me.

    Same question.

    No.

Would you ever stop rationalising a number of things about your life?

I never rationalise anything; it weakens critical thinking. It's much healthier to be honest with oneself; it's an oft-forgotten element of "To thine own self be true."

Would you tell your best friend's wife if he was cheating on her? Would you if she directly asked you?

Haha okay but Lancelot is going to kill Gareth pretty easily (also they are best friends so maybe he won't even agree to kill him).

And no, I will never stop rationalizing things, like how i can rationalize my priorities being things like buying clothes and books instead of devoting every second to helping people in the developing world who actually may starve or die of preventable diseases.

Would you say it's reasonable for a server in Canada to make up to four times what I make as a cook in tips alone despite only working for half of the hours I do? And that these same people expect me to donate money to them if and when I go out to eat or drink?

No. There's nothing reasonable about tipping unless you are trying to make yourself fall over.

You have been married for 20 years and have a 16 year old son. Unfortunately your wife develops breast cancer and is now very near the end. On her deathbed she confesses to you (only) that you are not the biological father of her child, begs you to forgive her, etc. Then she dies. Do you tell the kid?

Alternate question for women: if you were in the wife's position, would you mention it to your husband and/or son on your deathbed?

    No

Would you live in Las Vegas, given a say...40% increase in your income stream? (for whatever is that you do, working, owning business, student, retired- sorry for all the caveats, but it saves the smart answers, like "I dont work" etc)

I'd live outside Vegas, or better yet outside of Reno. But it would be for the desert (and the tax laws), not the money.

    Would you?

clopin, I think servers should share some of their tips with the cook!

at one point in my life, outside of a few major metropolitan areas like ny or Chicago, I would have gone pretty much anywhere to work or live, and I would have said yes to las vegas, but not now and that has more to do with life circumstances here as opposed to anything contrary in las vegas.

would you go live and work at a lucrative or otherwise meaningful job in a foreign land if it meant giving up reading/writing/speaking in English also?

No, unless I was happy being ther for personal reasons - but work itself doesn't cut it anymore.

Would your immediate family (as in parents, siblings etc) enjoy your honest memoirs, or perhaps be uncomfortable?

Well they do, but it's something like 2%... should be 50% at least.

My honest memoires? Pretty uneventful, I can't see anyone being disturbed particularly.

Would you steal $100,000 from a big company (which, however, is not ethically unsound in their business practices) if there was no risk of your being caught or punished in any way?

Yes, some companies more than others.

Would you enjoy working for the United Nations at your current compensation package?

Well, disabled is disabled in any job or language

Would you ever give up because people see only the disability, not the person?
    Some of us laugh
    Some of us cry
    Some of us smoke
    Some of us lie
But it's all just the way
that we cope with our lives...

I don't think I would because I am not in the habit of caring what other people think.

You are shopping with a friend and you see them take something without paying for it. Would you turn them in or say something to your friend it act like you didn't notice?
