    hiya

    hello everyone

my real name is aysha, im 15 and i live in norway. i enjoy riding horses and reading...oki, that wasn't a very good start to my little introduction. If this was a book, most people would get this far and decide that i am an awful writer.

I dont write to impress...'cause that would be a lost case. Seeing all your beautiful and deep writing makes me feel a tad bit insignificant, but i would like to join your group and mayhaps even contribute in my own way.

I've found i truly enjoy writing haikus..i owe this discovery to my dear freind verybaddmom. they are so simple, you can truly express your feelings in this form.

anyways, im going to give up on the introduction. Im hoping that we can get to know eachother through our writing.

    Hi, bimboh8r.
You live in Norway? What's it like there? My grandmother's mother is from there and my dad talks about her a lot so I've grown a curiosity about the place.

hey aysh..welcome to the boards, glad you made it.
but, dont tell people you know me tho hon...they will think you are a bit crazy too
guilt by association, you know lol

anyhow, try not to feel as though your writing is less important than anyone's on here. you have written some fab haiku, both here and elsewhere that i've seen. just jump in with both feet, get typing and we'll see what happens okay? enjoy!
Then we sat on the edge of the earth, with our feet dangling over the side, and marvelled that we had found each other.

wow thank you all, for your incuragement and inspiration youve made me feel really welcome. (and a little more brave)

and since eva brought it up, sure ill try to tell a little about norway...im not quite sure what you want to know about, but you can hear what (for me) makes norway, norway

well we have really old mountains, anyone who has been to Canada or to the Himalayas has seen magnifisent mountains, huge ones with sharp peaks. here in norway, we have mountains from before the ice age, our once high peaks have been worn down for centurys (im not quite sure for how long, i could find out if anyone is curious)

another asotiation i have with my home, norway, is the fjords. a fjord (in case thats a weird word no one has ever heard before) is a body of seawater that sticks into the mainland...hmm im not very good at explaining...but anyways we have lots of those and the norweigen national romantic pictures usually portray them as being crystal blue with mountains surrounding them and little ships floating through them.

if anyone is intrested in horses, like myself, i would like to mention our own breed, the norweigen fjording. :P

let me think..what else is there to mention? oh yeah!! have you guys ever sliced cheeze with a metal cheeze slicer, it has a little blade and a handle, i proudy *giggle* present the norweigen mastermind invention!

thats about it for norway. well right of the top of my head. hope this gave you all an idea of what the norweigens are proud of, and what is beautiful about my home.

some of the bad parts include lousy weather in the winter, and a large amount of bimbos in our high schools. *wink*

Once again, in awe of other young people who speak another language so well. Your English is awesome! Welcome, Aysha!

    =) hello again =)

my english isn't very good considering i lived three years of my life in California. I was born in Norway, but my parents (my mother being American, and my father being Pakistani) brought me to California when i was three years old. We moved back, and ive lived here even since 1996..or 1997 =)
I speak english with my parents.

do you know what? ive never been to a country that isnt truly beautiful in its own way. every country has its personal charm. im not much of a city person, so i have trouble seing the charm in sigarette butts and cans. It inspires a diffenent mood, one more realistic and less romantic, =) but thats just me.

what kind of books do you guys like? I have a weakness for good fantasy literature
my favorite author at the moment is George R. R. Martin, if you are into exiting complex characters mixed with a story that will keep you up all night reading. sorry I could go on and on =)

i like alot of other things too, but my that is definataly my favorite. im curious to see what everyone else likes!

So you're from Norway, beautiful place I went on a boat trip to there once stopped in Stavanger and Bergen and went along some of the fjords, that must've been around 8 years ago if not longer.

With regards to favourite authors my favourite is Dickens however I am not able to analyse literature, so I dont post in that section of the forum.

Anyway welcome and enjoy your stay.
