Ramadhan: One Month Long Camp

Fasting in Ramadhan does not mean only to remain hungry during day. During the Fasting, the faithful is required to remain engage in remembrance of Allah; glorifying and praising Him and professing His Unity. In Ramadhan a faithful break away from worldly desires and his or her every action is for the sake of pleasure of God.
The basic purpose of Ramadhan is to achieve righteousness; to avoid what Allah has asked to avoid and to do what He has commanded to do.
Ramadhan is like a strong fortress, which saves from Fire, according to Holy Prophet (peace and blessing of Allah be on him).
Fasting is for Allah and Allah is its reward……It is for those who Fast with righteousness, who remember Allah, pray to Him and pay right to His creation.
According to Ahmadiyya Khalifah, Ramadhan is ‘one month long camp’ for spiritual and moral reformation. Faithful should make self checks to raise their standards of righteousness, which should stay for time to come. The righteousness is beneficial for a faithful, it makes them successful in this world and in the Hereafter. It makes them victorious.
