    Speaking in Tongues

    Speaking in Tongues

    In unexpected moments of distress
    beyond my control
    I begin speaking in tongues,
    it becomes and uncontrollable convulsion,
perhaps I might call upon your name
in the language of the stars
    while I dance without movement
    maintaining an utter stillness
    which cannot be broached.
I have memories of the future
    and prophesy of the past,
but sometimes the present eludes me,
and I hover just out of existence,
like a creature half of water and half of air
    but without the means
of passing between the two different spheres,
    simultaneously living in both
    while never touching either.
I can only dream of your Earth-arms
pulling me down, or drawing me up,
before I am siphoned above the atmosphere,
before I am consumed in the undertow.
And all I want is to understand
this cosmic dialogue which may possess
    the power to detach me
from the destruction working inside of me.

Deep into that darkness peering, long I stood there, wondering, fearing, doubting, dreaming dreams no mortal ever dared to dream before. ~ Edgar Allan Poe

impressive poem Dark Muse and very emotional you can feel the conflict and the distress within the dialogue so to speak.
    I am not sure what
    speaking in tongues
    mean?
    it may never try
but when it does it sigh
    it is just that
    good
    it fly

Thank you, some people believe that a person who is possessed by a demon will start to speak in a languages they don't actually know or never heard, and it is called speaking in tongues.
