    Kevin

    Yesterday's are f ucking useless
    And today is tomorrow's
    And tomorrow
    Belongs to me.
I borrowed it a while back.
    From Dave.
    He owes me a tenner
And his wife is screwing his best mate.
    Kevin.
    Kevin has limited tomorrow's
    As when Dave finds out
    He's gonna kill him.
I thought it through on Wednesday
    Over a cup of tea.
    So I owe Dave tomorrow
    And Kevin's going to die.
    But not today.
    Tomorrow maybe.
    And tomorrow belongs to me.
    Or Dave.
    Not Kevin.

    For those who believe,
    no explanation is necessary.
    For those who do not,
    none will suffice.

I puzzled over this one like it was some cryptic crossword!

    Dave pays you the tenner
    You kill Kevin

It's probably wrong but I did have fun trying to work it out.

Poetically it was almost chillingly cool - notwithstanding your trademark dark side.

Ha ! Great stuff, it reminds me of those profound down-the-pub conversations. Get your tenner back before Dave kills Kevin... Tomorrow.

Cryptic indeed! I ended up with:

Dave doesn't really owe you a tenner
Dave is the reason for your life being useless.
If Dave kills Kevin, that is, if you do nothing to stop the killing, Dave ends up in prison.
So not protecting Kevin is your revenge on Dave.
And at least Kevin's life will not have been useless (he was useful for taking down Dave!)

This is also probably wrong but I did have fun (kind of!) trying to work it out.

    Reasoning:

    Yesterday's things are useless
    And today is tomorrow's yesterday
    Therefore, everything is useless!

    And tomorrow
    Belongs to me.
Therefore, everything is useless to me

I borrowed it (tomorrow!) a while back.
    From Dave.
That is, Dave made everything in my life useless!

He owes me a tenner (ironic - as if a tenner could be compensation for making everything useless!)

And his wife is screwing his best mate.
    Kevin.
    Kevin has limited tomorrow's
    As when Dave finds out
    He's gonna kill him.
I thought it through on Wednesday
    Over a cup of tea.
So I owe Dave tomorrow (i.e., I want Dave's life to be useless)
And Kevin's going to die. (I'll let Dave kill Kevin, then Dave will go to prison, and everything will be bad for Dave)
    But not today.
    Tomorrow maybe.
And tomorrow belongs to me. (my life is still likely to be useless...)
Or Dave. (And Dave's life is likely to useless, as he's in prison...)
    Not Kevin.

The apostrophes in "he's going to kill him" and "Kevin's going to die" are correct because they are contractions for "he is" and "Kevin is." BUT you've got to dump the apostrophes in "tomorrow's" and "yesterday's" -- they are not contractions nor possessives. Dump them. They detract from an otherwise good, good poem.

    Sincerely,
    Auntie
