    is there a synonym for "synonym?"

    It doesn't seem that hard. Just input "synonym" into your word definer program and select from the terms that come out...."equivalence" might be an example.

    Double twin namesake equality similarity pair mirror correspondence (ant) doppelgänger (stretching it to breaking point). On the basis that synonyms mean " similar" rather than "identical". There may be a word prefixed by "co-" that would be more exact than these. It was a neat amusing question.
