Gosh, tidy house, that was in the days I didn't do any translation. Work distracts you from the stuff that really matters (apart from money).
It's weird, but I can't work and later concentrate on chores. It's just impossible. In this case, if I do have some free time, I'll spend on being free, not on chores, but I think we'll have to make a commitment soon, because otherwise things will become very unacceptable.
One has to laugh before being happy, because otherwise one risks to die before having laughed.

“To practice any art, no matter how well or badly, is a way to make your soul grow. So do it.”
- Kurt Vonnegut
Most of the time I don't really do much tidying (when I say tidy, I refer only to my bedroom), but it doesn't ever get tremendously messy. Occasionally I have an urge to tidy, and then my room becomes more or less spotless again.
I quite enjoy housework - I'm not overly house-proud, but I like my place to be clean and reasonably tidy. I tend to use Sunday as my housekeeping day - though by Friday things can be getting quite chaotic.
"I should only believe in a God that would know how to dance. And when I saw my devil, I found him serious, thorough, profound, solemn: he was the spirit of gravity- through him all things fall. Not by wrath, but by laughter, do we slay. Come, let us slay the spirit of gravity!" - Nietzsche
Favorite would probably be outdoor stuff--mowing the lawn, etc. Least favorite: the bathroom, easily.
You must be the change you wish to see in the world. -- Mahatma Gandhi
I would never let anyone else do laundry in my home, not because I enjoy it a lot but because I think everyone else will do it wrong ( I mean I would think it's wrong even though they don't and it probably isn't). I have to vacuum almost daily because of my very hairy dogs and I can't say I enjoy that. I never iron, no way I'll do that!.
I do little everyday to keep things tidy and to make sure it doesn't get too much. That way it only takes about 20 minuets a day. I also make my son do a bit... so I say 50/50

Personally, I think that the unique and supreme delight lies in the certainty of doing 'evil'–and men and women know from birth that all pleasure lies in evil. - Baudelaire
