    Indigo Man.

One of my many failings as a writer/poet is that I tend to take a paragraph or a stanza to say something that most people would in a sentence. Anyway, here's something slightly shorter.

I’m not too comfortable in the here and now,
Because I don’t belong in this place,
I’d like to go back if I only knew how
Someone else can have my space.

I’m looking for a future in my past
And I know I’ll find it one day,
The time will come for me at last
When someone will show me the way.

My Indigo aura brings nothing but pain
And very few understand my plight
Words have no meaning and like acid rain
Bring darkness even where theres light.

Reality can never be a friend to me
Only fantasy will balance my mind,
Take me home so that I can be free
I need to be with my very own kind.

I liked it. You should reduce the closing line to "I Need to be with my kind". Also you spilt into self pity at times, always to be avoided.

    For those who believe,
    no explanation is necessary.
    For those who do not,
    none will suffice.

I like it for the reflective nature. Maybe about the finiteness of life or something else, but it is engaging none-the-less.

Ballads are an acquired taste - like stilton - or foot odour. I can't make up my mind. What I will do Jett is cheer you from the very far side lines!
