I personally find the look daunting because it always looks like too tight and uncomfortable especially in the summer.

I don't like wearing suits simply because I find them uncomfortable and impractical. They do look quite nice though.
I've only worn suits for weddings, job interviews and funerals. My daily work clothes fit better with blue jeans and a dress shirt.

I'm pro-suit, especially when it isn't worn properly:
I'm also pretty pro-skinny tie suit:
Also while we're on the subject, I think obviously we can all agree that Iwan Rheon is the most attractive person in human history.

The 3-piece suit is coming back now. I can imagine it's uncomfortable, certainly in summer. In the in betweenie season I wear something similar to go out, with a cravat too.
But I couldn't imagine myself doing that in summer. Although most places are air conditioned now. My husband wears nothing else to teach his 'stuffed suits' he calls them in the European Commission. I like it, it gives you a kind of formal air that people respect and you can be a bit original with the tie. (my hubby's got about 200-300, never wears the same tie to work in a year).

I love men in suits, and a three piece always looks good. My son wears a suit every weekend and if there wasn't a uniform at his school he'd probably wear suits every day. He doesn't find it uncomfortable, I doubt a six year old would wear uncomfortable clothes by choice. He prefers to dress up like Clark Kent than Superman
Oh, and there is a international suit-up day in October I think...

Suits are very stylish, and I must admit to enjoying an opportunity to dress up in one. I would wear them more often, if only the maintainence of the thing wasn't too much work.

I'm wearing one now (Cousin's wedding). Uncomfortable!
ay up
I think they are designed to look good but that is all. I much prefer the casual jeans and tshirts.
Jeans are ace because they are comfortable and they fit every situation.
do you like wearing suits YesNo?
Interesting results on the poll are even.
The other I must say is that the only exciting thing about a suit for it has to be the shirts and the ties. They can look very exciting colours and texture wise. I like a combination of jeans a shirt and a tie worn loose but without a suit in sight. I think it looks really cool![]()

Am I seriously the only person who thought the OP was referring to that stupid Justin Timberlake song?
As for the formal suit and tie look, the general consensus is that it makes men look more attractive and it makes women look less attractive. Even though I like formal wear, the good look of the suit and tie typically strokes the ego of the wearer. The quality of the suit often makes employers biased when hiring. Good looks might be helpful for modeling jobs, but they sure are redundant in managerial positions!

I really need to switch to a skinny suit/tie - but we are now smart casual at work.
which song is this?

Too bad Alex is no longer with us. He would most certainly have something interesting to say concerning suits and men's fashion in general. As an art teacher, a great deal of the time wearing any formal dress at work is out of the question... although I do wear a nice dress shirt and tie and/or sweater/vest quite often. My studio wear involved jeans or dockers and old sweatshirts or t-shirts spattered with paint, as well as a pair of boots. personally, I'm comfortable dressing formal or informal. One thing I have noticed, as such, is that you can almost immediately recognize those men (and women) who are not used to dressing up because they often look uncomfortable or even awkward.
