I'm looking for the best farces in the history of literature, it can be very obvious suggestions, I'm new to literature, but also, besides just the best ones, I'm looking to get an overview of the different variations that have been tried within the genre, so if something pops into mind that is in some way different than others I'd be interested in that.

A very interesting list. Rather Anglocentric. Not sure that everything there could properly be called farce but there are some very very funny items. The Big Lebowski is one of my favourites. I would add that in 1905 Neil Munro began his Para Handy tales. They are not farce but they are extremely comic.
Georges Feydeau was famous for writing farces. A Flea in Her Ear and Hotel Paradiso are the most famous examples. As someone said earlier, Moliere's a good example. The French farces perhaps gave rise to the term "French scene"- in a play, an entrance would mark the start of a scene and an exit the other. Farces rely on numerous and speedy entrances and exits.
A modern farce is Noises Off! by Michael Frayn. The plot is that a shoddy theatre group are putting on a comic play and the action switches between what's going on on-stage and the backstage dramas.
The way to distinguish a farce from a standard comedy is that a farce is frenetically paced and relies a lot on the trope of mistaken identity, whether it's purposeful or not. The plot is generally based around sex, or if it's a politer farce, romance. For example, The Importance of Being Earnest is a farce.
