Has anyone read Siddhartha by Herman Hesse? I read the book a year or so ago and loved the philosophy presented in it. I particularly liked how Hesse makes his character achieve salvation- by sinning and falling prey to desire and finally, pulling himself from its clutches. It seems a harder way than merely watching sin from a distance and trying to keep away from it.
Anyway, I was wondering if anyone had any views to share on the book?
