    Publicising Novels

Your advice would be most welcome. Since retiring in 2010 I have written four gay-themed novels. The have received favorable notice from established authors, who have been very encouraging. The first two novels were published by a small publisher in Massachusetts. The next two I self-published on Amazon Kindle Direct. But I am not selling many copies, and copies sent to well-known magazines have not resulted in reviews. I am (a) new to this and (b) not setting about it in the right way. The novels are not strictly-speaking "gay erotica:" they should be enjoyable as thrillers by gay and straight people: while there are some erotic passages, that is not the main point of the novels. They are not (not) another Fifty Shades of Grey. All the novels, The Indigo Bird, the Vertical Land, The Inner Land, and The Maverick Strain, can be got on Amazon as e-books.
