A memory of loved ones gone
Of changed lifestyles and thoughts
The time of innocence, of adolescent pain.
Friendships that have died,
Sailed on with the tide,
New ones have started to grow.
Will they grow deep,
Like the old ones had,
Or be broken in the time of pain?
First kiss gone,
Innocence lost,
Shall it ever be regained?
Trips have been taken,
Fresh memories awaken,
And new adventures lie at the door.
Pitiful creatur of darkness,
What kind of world have you known?
God give me courage to guide me,
You are not alone.
My favorite line was: "new adventures lie at the door"
The rest of it just doesn't feel alive. Make it jump a bit. Give it some movement and some energy. Give it some passion.
