    TCB--Bias? or not?

There are interviews in which T.C. Boyle has expressed his ability to enter into writing a novel without showing favor to one opinion vs the other. With the Tortilla Curtain there are two very obvious views (and many in between) about immigration and social issues. Do you believe that TCB remains unbiased or do you feel a slant one way or the other? I am much at odds with the question!

I wouldn't call it bias. He is undoubtedly sympathetic to the underdog but the Havemorethantheyneeds are recognisably human and not cut- out baddies
