What's the best advice your father ever gave you ?

When I was little, I used to get beat up a lot (I still have lots of scars to prove it ) the other girls where just stronger and meaner. But my dad taught me how to fight. Pears of his fighting wisdom:

"Stand strong and face life down"
"Steel-toed boots are a girl best friend" (this one is proven true just ask all the guys I fought in middle school! )

"bite, kick and hold on!"

and "People are stupid. get used to it" (this is still part of my life philosophy)

So, even thought he's psycho. I love my dad. Thanks to him, the last person who tried to steal my purse ended up regretting it. and I learned a bunch of stuff which I really can remember now.

Wonderful. Do you or your father happen to give lessons?

I dont recall a large amount of things my father told me. The 2 which stick in my head most are "Dont let the bastards see they're getting to you" & "dont marry beneath you" erm, yeah.....

I was told once, "you can't polish a turd."

I don't think my dad said it though. I think it was an uncle.

I couldn't say whether it was good advice but basically "to be economically successful" and make sure I "keep up with the Jones". I've done both and.
