    Hi, everyone!
I've just joined this forum. I am pursuing my master degree in Shanghai and dream to be a scientist, but I also love reading books. Discovering this wonderful forum really exictes me.
My favorite writer is Muxin. Of course he is Chinese, but he had been living in New York for many years. If only someone knows him.
I also like some English writers such as Virginia Woolf, Alain de Botton. Now I'm reading The Bell Jar by Sylvia Plath.

    Talking

Hi. my name is Elizabeth. I am trying my hand at letting people read my stories for the first time and hoping for a lot of helpful feed back on them. I love to write but never have let anyone read anything i wrote and now I have decided to start getting feed back.

    Hello!
My name is Fanny Rose, I am French but live in Argentina (Buenos Aires), 24 years old.
Each time I travel to France I come back with a suitcase full of books I had left behind at home and new one in French and English (those are a little more difficult to purchase in Argentina, there is less variety than in France).
I am currently recovering from an Austenitis which is making me read every Jane Austen novel - and some sequels! And I was looking forward to having companion readers to comment them, as well as other readings, in those forums.
    See you around!

    Cool Introduction

Hello! I am Lia, aged 13 but am called 'mature' for my age. I love to have a bit of fun as all of us do. I play on my PS3 a lot, and have several games on it. But that isn't my main hobby.
For I write every day, I sketch every day. I am currently in High/Secondary school and next year will be doing my GCSE's. I hope I am welcome here even though I am quite young.
My favourite quote is "Imagination Is More Important Than Knowledge" - Albert Einstein. I love to read horror, and particularly like adult horrors such as The Fear Index- if anyone's heard of that? I like The Lovely Bones too, and the movie as well.
I prefer to stay in than go out. :3 And that's me!
I'm only 13. Please don't be too mean! I only like Constructive stuff, not just abuse as that doesn't help me does it!

    Hello
I'm 23 years old and I"m a student from Poland. I decided to join the forum because I found the opportunity of talking with people about literature really interesting. I love reading books, playing violin, painting and drawing and singing I'm a great fan of Tolkien's books but I do not limit myself to any particular genre, I just enjoy reading. I also hope to find help from you guys, because I start writing my thesis on master's about American Epistolary literatureAnd sometimes it's difficult to find necessary sources for such writing here in Poland, I just need to talk to somebody who is very much interested in american literature, especilly epistolary literature Thanks and have a good day all of you!

    hi, you guys ^___^

Well. well. well. people here are so interesting, I was tempted to Join this forum. This is my first time joining a forum where I get to share stories I write. I actually don't like anyone reading my works. But someone, somewhere wrote that in order to be a writer, you need a reader. So I'm taking a risk. I don't like anyone criticizing my works because I'm super sensitive about it but I want to improve.

Anyway, to introduce myself, I like to remain unknown. I like walking at night, under the moon, because there's different kind of serenity about it. I like reading in a park, in a library, in my room, anywhere quite as passoble. I take reading a sacred hobby (lol). beside, I don't read when I need concentration. because reading takes my concentration away and it leads me to a better world I prefer. Writing is my passion. I like writing, although I can't say I'm a good writer, I know I'm a writer at heart.

I'm a nature lover, anime fanatic and an avid manga reader. <3 that's all...for now

A brief hello and the intro

Dear Ladies and Gentlemen of Respected Letters,
Greetings. My name is John. I am merely a seeker of knowledge that continues to track hints of Grace to grasp a semblance of existential comprehension. Write on now!

    Cool Hello

Hi. My name is Diana. I don't post on message boards as a rule but I have a poetry related question and this seemed like it might be a place I could get answers.

    Smile Hi!

Hello guys... I'm new here... Hoping to have a great time!!

  15. #5355

    Greetings All,
After a life time of Adventure in the Seas and Jungles of South east Asia; a dissolute life of doing only what I was Interested in, of Evading Responsibility, of Never Paying Taxes, I now feel the urge to slow down and write full time. I have vivid memories, coloured by crassly selective filters, of seven years of War in Vietnam, of Wildlife and Wilderness and fragile Human Cultures, all disappearing fast and scarcely lamented by City-bred Locals, all of which I want to get down on paper fast before memory fades.
I have already three collections of short stories and one fat historical novel, that I would welcome comment on, be it mildly encouraging or scathing....but am I in the right place?....is that what you folks do? In a brief trawl through the site I have not seen where such generous souls hang out, nor yet just where I might post one introductory short story?...but my generation is notoriously bad at finding things on web-sites!
Thank you if you have read this far! Captain Blake.
