I do a good impression of the singer.

TMI Emil - does that include the soliloquy?
(TMI is "Too Much Information" for us older lot)

I suppose it's would be less shocking than hearing you sing Noel's "Don't Let's Be Beastly To The Germans "

Okay here's what playing over here:

I do indeed include the soliloquy: the trick is to do it without laughing; which I invariably fail to do.
With the exception of Marlene Dietrich, Noel had a particular dislike of the Germans and leapt at the chance to help the propaganda effort during the war.
I don't suppose that Hitler ever heard Noel's song but I suspect that Goebbels might have. There is a story, probably apocryphal, that during the war Noel was on a German death list that included Churchill and other prominent politicians,
but apart from his musical achievements, I don't think his sexual proclivities would have endeared Noely boy to the German authorities of the day.

Continuing the singing in the shower theme, here's another that I like to try occasionally. Although I haven't yet had any complaints from neighbours, there may come a time when I shall be asked to tone it down.

Well you know how it is Gilliatt, it's not nice to be thought of as one of those dull fellows who doesn't sing during ablutions. Here's something a little more appropriate.
