Question A film/movie/series you have never watched

Or something you started watching but decided you were not going to anymore.
What made you decide you are not going to watch it anymore?

A series I could never pick up or get into because I am not into vampire stuff is:
    Buffy the Vampire Slayer

    And
    Friends
    Sex And The City

    Just not my style.

I don't watch True Blood. I have no desire to watch True Blood. Having said that, I will probably end up watching True Blood re-runs when the series is over It could already be over, but I don't think it is. I didn't like Dexter at first. I thought everyone was weird-looking and the show intro with the mosquito and the cooking of breakfast, and the tying of the shoes didn't do much for me. But now I think Dexter is brilliant.

Oh, yes, let's talk about things we've never seen and therefore know nothing about. This should be very stimulating conversation indeed!

I have to say my partners is big time into Dexter and anything along the sort.
I find many american programmes such as True Blood. Numbers and CSI kind cold and without substance.
Evertime I try and give a second look I feel there is that lack of truthfulness to it almost it is obvious it is not real.
I can't describe it I can't get my beliefs around it because it always comes across as too obvious.
Actors comes across as cold between themselves and what they do.
For example in CSI there is a dead body complitely desicated lying about on the floor and yet all the CSI team walks and behave around the body as if it was a piece meet.
I mean how often does one come across a dead body let alone desicated wihtouthaving to let out a scream cringe or run away because it is too gory.
And yet these actors seem to just go by the whole thing as if it was nothing.
I find this very hard to grasp.
They take photos and talk about the weather whilst the body is lying around in front of them.
I find the whole fake almost plastic . The whole thing is a complete joke.

I like CSI, especially New York, Sinise is awesome.

I don't know what the crime rate is in the US but I guess it's more than on the ice or many smaller countries. the only thing I have had a problem with is that they find a single hair on the floor but they themselves are not wearing any nets or anything.

I enjoy it and like I said Sinise is great.

    The newspaper?!
If you are from the UK you have what you call a paper called the Sun haha.
You must have heard of Murdoch he owns the paper.
It is a scandal and gossip newspaper. Not very nice.
It is one of those papers one hears about but never reads because it is so trash.
It famous for its page three girl.
You must have something similar in the state.
May be the paper that has recently published pictures about Prince Harry?!
That could be the equivalent of the Sun.

I don't live in England. And I still don't see the relevance, but that's not uncommon.

The relevance is that you can hear about something or somebody and you can stillmake your mind up whether you wish to read or meet or not all.
The same with films youcan hear of them and not have watched for a reason or another.

I believe MM's point is that you can't really have much of a discussion about movies, TV series, works or art, music, etc... that you have never seen/heard/experienced. The answer as to why someone hasn't seen/heard/experiences any of these things is most likely: haven't had the time/gotten 'round to it or it simply doesn't interest me. What else is there to say?

Actually quite a lot I mean let's take for example
    Fifty Shades of Grey
One has heard/read about it but decided not read it.
Somehow us humans are quick on the defensive enough to make our minds up about somethingwe like or don't for various personal reasons.
    Another example:
it could be the genre we do not like or may be the topic or content is inappropriate.
It all depends on why we chose not to.
    For example
I have stated above the reason why I do not watch CSI.
It is clear that some stuff they do just does not bit with me hence with me not watching it anymore.
Maybe it is the wording of the post.
You can talk about a film/movie/program you started watching but then you stopped because you saw or felt something was not right.
That is what I mean about the post.
What it is that pust you off from watching something.
That is the point of this thread to explore the reasons why we decide something is not for us.
