lots of possibilities but I would love to see Petra.
What was the highlight of your weekend?
Having a drink at Sunset bar watching the Olympics - sun was setting and it was cooling down a bit.
What was the low point of your month?
Though it wasn't a real surprise, someone I cared about disappointed me.
same question
(lilimarlene - a little vague-i'll do one up on that).
Something made be feel less than good - just like I thought it might, but was not quite sure.
What book had the biggest impact on you?
(I wasn’t deliberately trying to be vague. The beauty of these forums is that I am free to be as honest as I want as no one knows who I am . So, ok, to be more specific , I caught someone I was involved with in a lie. I had a lot of mixed signals from him anyway so maybe that was his way to end things as he made no attempt at clarification and that was quite disappointing for me.Yes I know it happens a lot and yes I already knew that was a possibilty but I am sometimes foolishly optimistic. Now, sadly, as the song goes, he’s just someone that I used to know. July was a bad month for romance as 3 friends I know ended their much more serious relationships as well.
You did something that you knew would make you feel bad but you did it anyway, did I get that right? )
Looking back through the years, there is not one particular book that had the most impact. Lots made an impression, but I can’t say any changed my life. Being somewhat practical I would say some ”self help” books have given me the tools to tackle various problems I’ve had through my life and that would have probably made more of an impact on me.
What are you most grateful for?
My general cool laid back persona.
What is your favourite film/movie comedy of all time?

I don't have an all time favourite but off the top of my head...loved the Monty Python movies, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, Midnight Run, and generally anything(mostly) with Bill Murray.
Best film ever.... probably The Godfather(I know it's on a lot of lists of favourite movies) I can still remember the feeling I had the first time I watched it,it blew me away.
If you were lucky enough to win the lottery(let's say many many millions) what would you would do?
Firstly, I think I would like to add that it's easier said than done. But I have always wanted to fix up a small school that I once visited. It's a very poor school...maybe I would settle there and use the money as a resource for the school (expand it and such) and also to live comfortably in that part of the world. But who knows what I might become when I actually have the money in my hand (though I have never considered myself greedy or materialistic)...

Battle not with monsters, lest ye become a monster, and if you gaze into the abyss, the abyss gazes also into you. - Friedrich Nietzsche
Just as you said - it is easier said than done. Anyway, to keep the game going on...First of all I'd just cry 'waaooo', loud and clear, so that a few neighbors would actually look away from their ipad or cellphone or TV screens. And then I'll laugh, that kind of infectious laugh which catches everyone, I'd hug my mom, I'd call or sms my friends, and then ... maybe ... if my head becomes clear enough I'll think about what to do with it. Right now I can say that a lot of it would go to publishers, since I love to read books and I'm planning to open a free library for children.
Now, on a serious note, when would you like to die?
I must create a system, or be enslaved by another man's. ~ William Blake

(re: the lottery...seriously, wouldn't you just run to the nearest Cartier and go shopping?)
when the bad outweighs the good and I am no longer able to function at a level I'm comfortable with.
What are you most passionate about?
Sex and books and sports-at the same time.
Have you ever been to a country where you needed vaccinations/malaria tabs to enter?
(I see we share a couple of passions)
No, not yet.
Could you forgive someone that had done you wrong and was very sorry?
(for the lottery: I would go shopping but then use some of the money in some sort of productive way for others haha...but maybe not..who knows?)
and yes I already have (I don't believe they were really that sorry either actually)
Who is someone that has really inspired you?
