I think this is really all that matters. That we can be transcendent.
But in which direction? God-ward? Heavenwards?
I suppose hell is just a wrong goal. A wrong choice that forces our blind heart to follow a bad path.
Good transcendence is glorious. You lay in bed terribly sick, and complaining, cursing maybe. And then you realize, God is still there, the future is still safe in Christ's victory over death. Then you can transcend it all.
Without having to run from your fate.
