Pip, your animals are b-e-u-t-i-ful! I know what you mean about rats (Squiggle was so cute, and I love his name); our hamster chapter is one we don't revisit in our memories too often, it's such a desperately sad time of death, death and more death.

Idril, your dogs look very well fed, I mean loved. I personally don't want to sleep with a dog; I don't know why, I sleep with cats, same difference. They are smaller, however. But that picture of your son and dogs is definitely a keeper, one worthy of being framed and on the wall. That depicts a house one would want to live in.

Your cats are beautiful, Kiki, and I love their names. You guys are quite clever, and having fun with it, I see. I adore naming animals. Pip, we had a cat named K.C. when I was growing up, a siamese. Any one care to guess what that stood for?

Yes, Smeagol especially was...loved. He was constantly stealing food and the boys were never good about keeping it where he couldn't get at it. Smeagol may have been a big dog but he was surprisingly agile when it came to food. Dobby wasn't as determined or skilled but he certainly enjoyed the fruits of Smeagol's labor. He's dropped a few pounds since Smeagol died.

I don't like sleeping with dogs either. They take up way too much space. I'm more of a cat person myself but the boys wanted dogs.

I love how dogs think they are starving to death all the time.

Not really a pet (she can catch her own insects all by herself) - but another pod!

Though I feed her scraps, I don't know if she appreciates them (at least she never complains or turns her nose up, and always eats everything). Here she is sunning herself in the drain, Dragon:

(EDIT: One hour later and she's still there - in exactly the same pose!)

awww.. and this is great.. it's like iguana -can sit in one pose for hours. dunno why but i like it the most in lizards..
that they are calm, not running anywhere, just sitting and admiring views while taking a sunbath. lucky you.

@qimissung: yeah, thanks (as if she was thanks to me somehow) : )

Interesting photos Olga4real - split seconds apart, but what's that thing in the first? It looks like a cable or something - and where did it go?

I think Dragon may have a new boyfriend. Here he is in the penthouse

It's a chain, she was tied up. It's sad but it is a habit in that area, you can see many tied up horses in the fields.

Your pets are nice, is it possible that in a couple of weeks Dragon becomes a mother?

A chain! Which I now see in the second photo - is it to prevent rustling or running? Probably both - that's sad.

Baby lizards could be cool - maybe I'll sell them as minimum maintenance companions? Lonely? Lazy? Too many insects bothering you? Too many scraps? You need one of these beauties!

You might give them to your friends as a gift.
