    Arrow The Faceless God!

    YOU create your own gods
Place him at place of your choice
    for reason none other than
    to keep the world at loggerheads;
    You want to see him
    Moses also desired the same
got a glimpse of Him and fainted!
    Jesus too became Christ
    and a god of the Trinity;
Buddha saw Him or didn't I don't know
but I know He was for him 'never mind!'
Muhammad never claimed he was God
He said he was only His prophet
Wonder if he ever saw God or
Was just in communion with Him??
Rama, Krishna, oh, why should they'd
    cared about god or gods
    they themselves being gods.
God is not an item displayed
    In a well-lit show case
    for sale
nor an item that could be shown
    to prove nothing...
    nothing beyond human imagination
God is how you believe in the reality
and falsehood of things around you
And grant it a faceless or odd shape
praise him and shun what others may visualize
What good is there in seeing God
No good getting fainted at His glimpse!

It's very hard to read this because of the colour choice you made.

Regardless of colour this is another non-poem of yours, I'm afraid. It's like reading a pamphlet advertising some obscure religious sect - rambling and rather boring actually.

The upper case YOU is an immediate finger pointer and gets my back up straight away because the writer isn't referring to their own shortcomings but the readers. I don't want to read holier than thou sermons. It is presumptious to know what I think, feel and do and then dollop out your own sanctimony.

This is not poetry at all.

Good poetry is always that which receives the most criticism. I like the incoming criticism as it shows the extent of appreciation it is receiving regardless of its 'limitations.

And one thing for sure, the 'poem' is not directed at anyone...the use of YOU (a voice from heavens!) includes me as well!!

This is a bunch opinions philosophizing God and your poem sounds as if I am reading an obscure philosophical treatise and unlike your earlier poems this one could not touch me deeply. It is shallow. Anyway do not be disheartened since you have the adroitness you have depicted in your earlier poems.

We know God is defined, confined and interpreted differently and we all are fed up with so many interpretations and your adds one to that list

“Those who seek to satisfy the mind of man by hampering it with ceremonies and music and affecting charity and devotion have lost their original nature””

“If water derives lucidity from stillness, how much more the faculties of the mind! The mind of the sage, being in repose, becomes the mirror of the universe, the speculum of all creation.
