Question People with literature qualifications - what are you doing now?

I'm in high school and thinking of studying literature at university. I'm interested to know what sort of jobs people end up doing once they have a literature degree. So, if this is you, what level of education have you got (degree, masters, etc), and what job are you doing now? It doesn't matter if your job is relevant to literature or not (I've heard that most people end up teaching or doing something completely unrelated).

I went on and got a Postgraduate Certificate in Education after a Literature degree. I became a Primary School Teacher - 4-11 year olds, and then I moved into Adult Education teaching English, Maths, GCSE English, Creative Writing and a variety of other short courses.

I now manage English/ Maths Programmes and teach.

Whatever you study, beyond studying medicine or dentistry, you probably won't end up working in the field you got your degree from. The majority of graduates use their degrees as a minimum qualification for an entry level office job.
