I have just came across and registered to this forum. I assume I am older than most in here.
I am Greek and live in Piraeus, Greece - something I have tried to change, but with no results so far. In life, I consider myself to be a late bloomer. Professionally, I was a wanderer, not knowing what I wanted to do. A fact that led me to gain experience in a variety of fields. Later, this proved to be a valuable asset in life and professional experience. In mature age I studied Psychology and specialized/ an MSc in Applied Forensic Psychology. Today I work as a drug counsellor/therapist with drug addicted offenders as well as prisoners.
During the last years I developed a wider interest in p[hilosophical issues and a special interest in astrology.

Foreign to any sort of realm such as online forums, I was hoping to meet some like-minded people for the sake of my faith in humanity! I mostly indulge in modernist works for I don't feel the human race has progressed; mentally, ethically, morally, at all.
All I can say for myself is that nothing pleases me more than roaming the country roads of upstate NY in an auto or in my shoes. I fish, I read quite a lot (from Homer to Delillo I say!)
I am a student and certainly will never cease to be so. I am finding it more and more difficult to break the barriers that exist between myself and those who need help in this country. Not in an economic sense, but in an enlightened sense. I believe we are on the brink of cultural revolution, up to the young minds of this technological age to reinstate the importance of the power and potential education holds to the development of the ingenious American citizen.
I hope some folks on here feel the same way.
