"That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed." Romans 10:9-11

"Faith is, at one and the same time, absolutely necessary and altogether impossible"
i read both books and though i liked them ,i thought they wer'nt so faithful to the first book. for one ,in the first book hiedi has black hair and black snapping eyes and in the two coming after it charles changed her to blue and blond. besides making peter grow up from a lazyish ignorent boy to a very reliable and inteligent husband. though romance is nearly always justified in my eyes.

Did Heidi & Peter get together in this book?![]()
Johanna Spyri wrote two sequels to Heidi herself. In the first one she studies in a boarding school and in the second one she becomes a teacher herself. I've read both of them in Finnish (I think I actually have them somewhere in this house...), but unfortunately I've no idea what they would be in English![]()
