Thread: Introduce Yourself here and say Hi.

    Well hello!

I'm a Canadian freelance writer, blogger, novelist and generally all around good guy. Right now, I'm taking the time to work on my short story writing and thought that this forum, in conjunction with my blog would be a good way to increase my skill level and do one heck of a lot of writing.

I look forward to reading everyone's work and any feedback you all have to offer.

Hi everyone. I am an English literature major, and I would love to meet some more people that are passionate about literature. I've actually been searching for a good literature forum for awhile now.

I also enjoy gaming, cooking and playing with my dog.

    Wink Just saying "Hi"

I am new and just thought I would introduce myself. I love all kinds of literature and am so glad I came by this site a few months ago.

Well, as if you could not tell my favorite book is Jane Eyre. Though I love many authors such as Dickens, Austen and Irving to me Charlotte Bronte really captured it all in Jane Eyre. It has mystery, romance, a bit of adventure and a gothic atmosphere all rolled into one.

I was a nanny and teacher for a number of years but for now I am a stay at home mom until I go back to work soon. I would love to be a writer though I fear I don't have the talent for it, so for now I stick to reading every chance I get.

I look forward to browsing the forums and if you would like to know a little more about me you can check out my profile and I also have a myspace page.

    Have a happy day!
"The ease of his manner freed me from painful restraint; the friendly frankness, as correct as cordial, with which he treated me, drew me to him." Jane Eyre

I thought I would jump on as I have recently been consuming all things Shakespeare after an inspirational trip to Stratford Uopn Avon for my second wedding anniversary.

Literature was never something I cared about in school as it was taught with no passion or enthusiasm and so it felt like another one of those "never gonna use it subjects" but now after many wasted years my eyes are opening to the wonders of language.

Hopefully I will enjoy being here but be warned I am barely educated to GCSE level so if my foot lands in my mouth go easy on me.

    Hello people of this forum!
My name is Kaitlyn, and Reading/Writing are my favorite things to do in my spare time. I love old English writers mainly, but I also love the classic writers. (Emily Bronte, William Shakespeare, Charles Dickens, T. S. Eliot, Homer, Edgar Allan Poe, etc.)

    Red face Hi, everyone

My name is Abigail and I'm new on this site. It is difficult to pick just one book. My favorites are Georgia by Lesley Pearse and Suzannes Diary for Nicholas. As for autherss, Nora Roberts, Sherrilyn Kenyon, Lesley Pearse James PAtterson, Stephanie MEyer, Jk Rowling, CS. Lewis, the list goes on. I have, according to some people, the most boring hobbies on the planet, embroidery and making beaded jewelry.

Greetings to all book lovers of this forum!Just wanted to introduce myself, being a newbie here, and all that I'm twenty, student of medicine from Serbia, and a passionate reader.Being Orthodox,I found works of Dostoevsky close to my views(but, since he is one of the greatest thinkers of them all, probably 99% of the people here share this affection ),and if must choose,I would put The Brothers Karamazov and The Devils as Primas inter pares.Don't have much free time for reading these days(med studies are pretty demanding),but if someone has a proposal, when a chance occurs, gladly will I use that time for reading a fine work of art.Hope to meet some new people here, and have interesting discussions.
Btw,since I'm not a native of an english-speaking country, have mercy for my grammar

    Illustrious prince,
I am a poor wretch in soul and spirit, but ask the veriest scoundrel
whether he would prefer to deal with one like himself, or with a
noble-hearted man like you, and there is no doubt as to his choice! He'll
answer that he prefers the noble-hearted man—and there you have the
triumph of virtue! Dostoevsky, The Idiot
