I definately agree with you. Great Expectations is the worst ever book

i know exactly how u were feeling im doin the coursework now n it is definetly the most borin book. ive just had 2 weeks in which 2 complete my assignment but i avent even started it yet i just cant get my head round it.

i like the novel very much, it is a valuable thing i can read it again again and again without ......... food

i believe that this book is a great film but i believe that you should the colured version on video which i did before i read the book and know the book makes more intrest.<br>

Don't mean to sound like a pompous prat, but those of you who hated it - do you have brains?? Its one of the most moving and beautifully intricate books I've ever read - think you should stop buying heat magazine and start reading proper things. Your hopeless grasp of language only backs up my theory.

Be thankful. GE is far better than Catcher In The Rye. God that book is so repetitive. Great Expectations is awesome next to it.

Same thing happened to me.. i had to read it in year 10.. and this is one of the worst book i've ever read...

i read this book in 6th grade so i would have to read it in 8th. I understand the theme of the boook ( a very good one at that) but just because a book has a good theme, doesnt mean it is a good book.

Great Expectations is far from being an interesting novel, and the majority of it simply drags ON AND ON. Besides which, Pip, the main character, is not a very likeable figure. While the book itself was fairly horrid, the plot is somewhat interesting, but flows like a soap opera. Great Expectations is one of those novels which should not be read unless you want something would fall asleep reading, but would make for a most entertaining film.

I just finished reading this book a few weeks ago and holy cow it was soooo boring and my teacher is making our class do a 4-5 page research paper on it and guess what I am only in the 9th grade.

some of it was cool at the first but when it gets to the middle get a bit boring. marks out of 10. 7/10

i think you were extremely rude i also am only 15 yet i seem to find the book entertaining. I am not a `spoff` or a `nerd` in fact i am quite the opposite. The only thing that makes us different is that i seem to have grasped the knowledge and understanding of an interesting classic. I think the reason you find it boring is meerly because you do not understand it and frankly i believe that say's more about you, than Great Expectations or Charles Dickens himself!!!

I could NOT finish this book! It was drawn out, dull, and unexiting. Something has to happen in a book for it to be interesting, and nothing happened in Great Expectations. Watch the movie, read the Cliff'snotes, DON'T read the book!
