The TV series was great, but I'd watch Sarah Michelle Gellar host Sesame Street!
:D

I lovewatching the Heroes.. :)
Buffy was coool .. so is Angel... But now its Prison Break and other like CSI , NCIS .. and Fringe these days.. anything related with crimes and investigation.. i just love it :D
Air drumming at the start was part of the Buffy experience. (probably the best part.)
The Sopranos.
Lots of action, but not for all.:eek2::eek2:
Do not forget about MadMen, if you like the Sopranos. Huge fan of both series.
TV series that are definitely worth a watch..
LOST - Brilliant for the science/religious themes, mysteries etc.
24 - Gripping action thriller type stuff but also very good scripts and story lines.
Survivors - Absolutely exellent British series about a virus that kills 95% of the population.
Heroes - First two seasons were fantastically done, but I haven't actually followed it since then
The L Word Drama series surrounding the lives of LA lesbians? That will either sound extermely awesome to you or extremely dull. It's actually awesome, a really good show.
Comedy-wise Family Guy all the way, hilarious but also a really clever in terms of the messages it conveys.
The Big Bang Theory Just plain hilarious
Marie :smile5:
I think the way lesbians are portrayed in the L Word is definitely way off the mark. Its chief aim is to stimulate the appetites of heterosexual males and curious women (just an opinion of course!)
Love my Way and Spirited are two good Australian Series but I doubt they are being aired overseas.
I'm dull and love Antiques Roadshow and re-runs of the Brady Bunch!
The Wire I enjoyed very much. It's sort of like deconstruction of the/a city, in this case Baltimore, and how all these different entities (Gangs, police, politicians, courts, school, criminals) interact and effect each other.
Rome-Season 1: Beautifully rendered interpretation of the city ancient Rome and the rise of Caesar, mainly following from the perspective of two legionnaires. 2nd season was balls.
Waking the Dead
and Judge John Deed
Any love for Doctor Who..? That and Have I Got News For You are basically the only TV programmes I watch...
Loving Hugh Fernely Whittingstall's River Cottage great fresh, local food but simply prepared - that's how it should be. It even convinced me to have breakfast once or twice this week.
Mastermind. I beat Mrs Neely every week...just.
I sometimes watch Dave channel for those quiz shows, QI, etc.
That's about it at the moment. There is a new Poirot on next Wednesday, I'll probably watch that.
yes yes yes Mad Men.
Ah, Lokasenna, Doctor Who - now you're talking!
Don't forget Torchwood.
QI
Frasier
It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia (focus on the first 4 years)
and
Dexter.
Only tv shows I watch anymore.
Frasier! How'd i forget that?
Dexter
Merlin
Doctor Who
Torchwood
Californication
Does anyone follow Spooks (or Mi-5 in the States)?
I think the show has declined in quality a bit, but it's still keeps me glued to my seat, which is quite an accomplishment, given it's in its 9th series. Peter Firth is a tremendous actor.
Couldn't watch Spooks after the fish fryer episode....
Well, thats "Masterchef - the Professionals" over for another year, the creme de la creme of the cookery programmes we are swamped with. The drama, the pathos, bathos and hubris,( not to mention hummus) the nosh. This season the standards went stella, anyone of the three finalists could've won.
Back to the beans on toast I suppose.
I recently discovered Louie, on Netflix, and it has got my recommendation. His stand-up sequences are mediocre, but the "reall-life" bits are all fantastic.
Curb Your Enthusiasm - one of my favorites
Breaking Bad - pretty good
South Park and Simpsons
Completely and utterly addicted to Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall's River Cottage. I'm watching about four episodes a night, starting from the early episodes on C4 OD, I find the whole thing totally engaging. I've never been so addicted to a TV programme in my life and I've hardly read a thing all week. I guess it is because I find the whole subject of self-sufficiency so infinitely appealing, idealistic yes, but infinitely appealing.
So did you watch last night's programme in Grand Designs, Neely? If you did, I guess Mrs Neely is hiding your wood-working tools even as we speak - that ecological/self-sufficient house was just so beautiful, I could have moved into it at once though I guess I would have to have joined the queue. My old carpenter Dad would have been drooling at the thought of all that hand-worked wood.
Right now I'm watching The Event. It is a really great show
Doctor Who... David Tenant for the first time actually captured my interest... My hubby was already a fan. And now the new doctor is better!
Anyway, Have I Got News for You is great, but Mock the Week I find better. Partly because of more freedom for the comedians. Other format, eh.
QI we watch religiously too.
ITV's Poirot with David Suchet is great! Missed the last one though :(. Had visitors.
Oh, Sherlock was great too. They did a pilot I think earlier this year and probably more episodes will follow. I found that a very clever up-to-date adaptation. The real Sherlock Holmes I don't really like as it is too obvious (Hound of the Baskervilles, hello phosphorus! It's hardly exciting).
University Challenge! I beat my hubby every week on lit and art! That said though, the science stuff, we are watching with great big eyes of astonishment sometimes...
And then there was Swedish Wallander. We were fans (although I missed the last episode because of visitors again!). I think they broadcast the last, but maybe they'll repeat. I so hope so! We could watch it every Saturday night for the rest of our lives.
Oh, yes and Harry Hill's TV Burp we also watch religiously.
Oh no I didn't see that. I'm not so good with the practical stuff like that though - I once hung a picture up in the kitchen and knocked all the electrics out, had to get someone round.
Tonight's new episode of River Cottage is not to be missed - bread!!! 8.00pm C4.
Fringe Fringe and Fringe.
Someone said The L Word...I watched two episodes of it. The two episodes I saw consisted the first half of the show being about the characters' day-to-day lives. The second part of the show was boobs, dialogue, boobs on boobs, dialogue, and wrap up the storyline and get you ready for the next episode.
I like Mike and Molly - it's not so bad. and Rules of Engagement is good.
Dexter - I want to watch more of this.
Currently watching House MD, Burn Notice, White Collar and Breaking Bad. House used to be MUST watching but as with any series familiarity breeds repetiton or tinkering wiht what works but still a delight to watch Hugh Laurie. Burn Notice I ignored for years simply because my idiot nephew loved it -- who knew for once he'ld get it right. White Collar for me is a buddy show that works because both of the guys are smart and respect each other--otherwise it's a redo of It Takes a Thief with a modern twist of course. Breaking Bad is fascinating watching the main character get in deeper and deeper troubles that I see no happy ending for anyone.
For OLDER shows thanks to DVDs--best western ever Have Gun Will travel, Rockford Files, and The Fugitive (David Jansssen version). Rumpole of the Bailey is a guilty pleasure and Patrick McGoohan as Secret AGent-Danger Man leading to The Prisoner is also a great character show.
I'm really liking AMC's The Walking Dead right now, who doesn't love zombies? A TV show about a zombie apocalypse was well overdue.
