for Virgil
 Good Lord.
Shouldn't "ring a lingy" be hyphenated? :D
I dunno. It's a bit Bukowski-ish.
[secretly laughing my, um, head off]
I don't know what to say. uhm the imagery is good? (lol)
*incredulous* *mouth agape*
Good one! Enjoyed it thoroughly.
Great stuff! Particularly good: the nonchalant, matter-of-fact tone.
Freaking hilarious man!
This almost had me in the floor laughing.
Great stuff, let it rip!
...Who has the air freshener?
I just read my Coke bottle:
Listen closely &
hear the
happiness being
unleased
when you open
this bottle.
It made me think of the first part. :)
Stinky stuff... *Yes, Good Lord!* I guess you told him!
I have to echo Virgil's "Good Lord" only mine has an exclamation point or two. !! but it is undeniably funny, imaginative and well-written.
so you've returned to post fart poems eh!?
it has pretty good sound mechanics, but overall I'm with blp on this one.
It's so ****ing funny!
Sound mechanics, I suppose, equal good handling of line, breaks, and devices that make the words echo. No, I agree, no sounds of farting.
perhaps the fact that I chose to respond to that in the poem demonstrates my not-too-fond attitude toward the subject matter, beyond initial shock value. I'm not left dreamy-eyed and creation-inspired like many of my favorite poems from you.
Woha! Now hold on a sec---initial shock value?? But we all fart among other things. Ahem...natural bodily functions. Expand your poetic horizons. Deny nothing.
Oh, thank you for the compliment. I'm happy, at least you like some of my poems, just not this one, and that other recent one or two. :p
Didn't you get what I was saying about the World Light Generation? Aw man, everyone's hating lately. I expect it from Virgil, but IP, blp? Oh, Riesa too. Sheesher. :p

Have you ever heard of Howard Stern Jon? This is the type of thing Howard Stern does. I wouldn't be proud of it. ;)
I never said I hated it. it's just that with great power comes great responsibility, and see you've made the baby of the forum (sorry Pensive, I'll never accept that you are a young adult, I shall always think of you as the baby genius) swear! for shame. ;-)
I like the Birds in an Airplane one as well, just haven't gotten to commenting on it yet. I haven't read the Walmart Urinal poem yet.
I'm with you on the World Light Generation; it's just that my methods of enjoying it/dropping my pebble in for the universe mean I want to become a high school English teacher, still.
No hating from me.

It least now this comment is where the person should have put it, instead of hiding behind a PM :)
World Light Generation. What is that? Sounds like something the late and great Dr. Tesla wanted to do.
very constructive, you could build a bridge on that
