I liken logging onto these forums as a dog leaving its mark...we get on, leave our scent on the topics that interest us, and pretty soon the whole neighborhood is littered with our names under "last reply". Hehehe... :D that random thought made me laugh for a good long while!

Not really, waxme... it's usually just a feeling...it can be right or wrong...
Maybe from the screen name ...i dont know why it sounds male to me, maybe because i can't really understand it and i tend to relate 'strange' screen names to male people, and more 'concrete' ones to girls....(but it makes no sense, it's just me :rolleyes: and then look at my name lol) .... and things like this metaphor of marks, made me think of a male imagination... well that's the fun of it, get the worng guess about a person ;)
It's funny you should mention that. I was reading some of the member profiles and realized I had the wrong assumption of a lot of people!

Of course you can leave your mark in any topic, but that topic remains the original author's territory...your mark only grants you temporary control of said territory. You shall never be first banana of this thread! (Are we actually making up rules for "leaving your mark"?) :D
Hi. nobody's trying to steal your territory as far as I'm concerned. All the "mark-leavers" just do that, leave their mark. Your mark will always be there, as the creator of this topic - as you've already said, so take it easy, we all second bananas surelly mean no harm to your ego :D .

True, you'd leave the mark, but soon it would become a common thing to do, just simply leaving a mark. Sure, it's up to you what you're going to post, and sometimes a word's enough. I wouldn"t say people visit this thread out of boredom. I think it's caused by good name and the number of replies. One sees that the thread is alive and goes there and is amused by this unorthodox topic and he/she just has to leave a mark (see me marking the teritory? :D ). Waxmephilosophical, are you going to celebrate the 300th mark? It'll be soon here... What about a marking ceremony ;) ?
