During ww2, when Ireland was in The Emergency and everything was rationed, Kids were give parsnips covered in Banana essense because the real thing, even though a luxury back then, was completely unavailable. Over here we call those flavorings "extracts" (just because we like to be "different" I suppose!) so I didn't know quite what you meant there exactly... Still seems nasty, though. But when people are hungry or deprived food is food and doesn't really matter I guess. :)

Coffee is wonderful! I work at a coffee shop, a little family-owned place. Starbucks has awful coffee. Any way of drinking is fine, whether plain americanos or triple-shot mochas! Though right now everyone wants the frozen cold drinks as Ohio's scorching...
You wouldn't believe some of the drinks out there. If you think a vanilla latte's fancy, try the Buckeye--espresso, milk, white chocolate, peanut butter, lined with dark chocolate and peanut butter and topped with those and whipped cream!
Seriously? You don't like bananas? Bananas are my favorite. They're cheap and easy and you can put them in your Cheerios or on your peanut butter sandwich or in your smoothie...Quote:

My boyfriend hates bananas, but then his tastes are pretty much "if it's healthy, I hate it" so his judgement is somewhat biased. I like them, but they aren't my favorite...my current favorite is blackberries since I have a blackberry bush just outside the porch door. The darn things grow wild and spread like crazy, but the berries are very nice. I expect when they are gone, peaches will be my favorite.
Oh my! Blackberries are my faaaaave berries. They're so expensive at the market, too. >:[ They come in such small baskets, but I eat them all in one sitting. :0
My fave fruit is probably nectarine. Ahhh deliciousss.
And bananas aren't bad at all. I eat them just like any other fruit.
Fruits I don't like include green melon, melon, pineapple, and TOMATO. *ick*

Coffee milk is pretty traditional is some cultures though...its common in, or at least where my family is, to give kids coffee milk...its more milk than coffee.Quote:
