Good job it's warm in your neck of the woods. Here I might get frostbitten parts at certain times of the year.

What would be cool is if it was one of those spinning bookcases, like when you want a bath you push a button and the bookcase rotates so the books aren't exposed to water ohhhh even better if there was a full bar on the other side so you can have an appletini while soaking.
Somebody has to invent that.
:thumbs_up Awesome.
I mostly can't even close my door without actually holding my keys in my other hand, just to make sure I won't lock myself outside with the keys still insine my apartment.... It's never happened to me, and hopefully never will, so maybe being this neurotic has some good sides to it
I also always check I've got my keys, wallet, phone and bus ticket with me before I go anywhere. ONCE I stepped out of the bus without checking my bus ticket, and of course that one time it had slipped out of my pocket and I had to go buy a new travel card... They found my old card later, so I got back the 20 euro note I'd had between my travel card, so the monetary loss wasn't as big as I thought first. The whole thing still sucked, though.

The exact origin of the martini is unclear. Numerous cocktails with names and ingredients similar to the modern-day martini were first seen in bartending guides of the late 19th century.[6] One popular theory suggests it evolved from a cocktail called the Martinez served at the Occidental Hotel in San Francisco sometime in the early 1860s, which people frequented before taking an evening ferry to the nearby town of Martinez. Alternatively, the people of Martinez say the drink was first created by a bartender in their town.[7] Another theory links the first dry martini to the name of a bartender who concocted the drink at the Knickerbocker Hotel in New York City in 1911 or 1912.[8]

Thanks. I am wiser.
Padre Martini ??
Is it possible I go to the movies just for the popcorn?
Why not make the popcorn at home?
Tastes better in oil, healthier air popped......so sad.
If I make popcorn at home its those microwaveable bags, maybe that's my problem.
Mmm, that's what I'm going to be doing next time.
Yeah, and then when someone grabs for one, you can say, "Hey, that's nachyo cheese!" HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAhahahahahaha..ha....ha.......* crickets*
Anybody use that dry shampoo?
I've used it. It's alright, but they can sometimes have very overpowering perfume, sometimes very powdery and sweet. So all day, every time you move your head you smell it...it makes you queasy after a while. I gave a brand new bottle away once, because of that.
If you can find a nice smelling one I would say they are worth it. They are great for hair that's gone a bit flat.
EDIT: Also, I recommend an aerosol. They are easier to use.
EDIT2: Cosmo did a review of affordable dry shampoos. I've also heard recently that Batiste (or something like that) comes highly recommended and that it's very cheap as well.
It's not a strict rule Cacian. It was meant as more tongue-in-cheek.
I've come just to annoy Cacian. Now I'm off to the safety of the Cold Ale thread.
I went to the Blokes thread once after Sancho wondered in here. Sometimes blokes wonder into this one though, but maybe they get freaked out. I felt out of place in that blokes thread too, so no change there.
Mutatis acting as Brian might be better placed though, because he is so attentive :p.
These threads are quite interesting, because you get to know who is a girl and who is a boy (although that might be a wee bit naive on my part). You can't always judge by their writing.
Mutatis has donned the garb of a dog, (wolf), to enter your sanctum unchallenged. I'd challenge him if i were you.
Oh so sorry. I went to the BLOKE thread and I thought twice about posting.
I thought it was meant seriously.
Haha there you are me taking things at face value.
It was the rapier wit wasn't it Cacian. It was wasn't it - the rapier wit....
Ooooo, now you come to mention it, he's a wolf in dogs' skin.
:p
I like to visit this threat when the boys are busy hurling insults at each other over Harry Potter books or academic snobbery or some such nonsense. But I only ever show up here in disguise – you know, so nobody will know I’m a dude.

I think I’ll have Grande nonfat half-caf latte with a sprinkle of Madagascar cinnamon, please.
Hear, hear, Sancho!!
Anyone here ever make Figgy Pudding? I'm attempting it now!
lol, Sancho. Do you think maybe we could get one on Brian? hehe.
OK guys, of utmost importance: what's your favorite horror movie(s) since it's Halloween?
My favorites are all so old, but still provide a thrill.
The Bad Seed especially now knowing there's a grain of truth in it.
Village of the Dammed, the original, not the remake (sorry Christopher Reeves)
The Shining, still a fave after all these years
The Haunting of Hill House, again the original. The book is awesome, too. I love movies where people lose their minds.
Halloween. The only movie that I really love Jamie Lee Curtis in.
I found this, too:

There's a great list here. Horror heroines are awesome.
Have you seen Vincent Price's Theater of Blood? It's about a Shakespearean actor who murders theatre critics, it's incredibly campy.
