On that same idea, if they assimilated a good jedi would the jedi overpower the borg's need to assimilate? then what would happen to the borg, isn't their primary function to assimilate.
Wow, the possibilities!!!!
whaaat??? clean your mouth after saying this! There's nothing bettere than a school exchange, even when people are like that! I'm still pissed off cos we were supposed to have 2 exchanges and we did only once...and that was years and years ago.Quote:

On explanation to my previous post, it's not about being shallow cos I can be so embrassingly shallow if I want (and even if I don't), it's all about not having to do something just cos it's cool to...it makes me go MAD :rage: And the conversation that was going on wasn't even that heavy....just a topic to discuss about.
Wow baddad mentioned his age...I thought he was around 35 ... really...
And about the Swiss guards:
:goof: :goof: :goof: Young...good-looking...rather tall...Now I find it even more stupid that I've never been to Rome! What am I doing still here? :goof: *sets off to Rome uncaring of the crowd of millions* :DQuote:
They must be Roman Catholics, unmarried, between 18 and 25 years of age, and they must also be good-looking. (nice, nonjudgemental christian prerequisite). Officially they are supposed to be over 1.74 meters tall, but nowadays this regulation is not enforced too strictly.
"The government today announced that it is changing it's emblem from an Eagle to a CONDOM because it more accurately reflects the government's political stance. A condom allows for inflation, halts production, destroys the next generation, protects a bunch of pricks, and gives you a sense of security while you're actually being screwed. WOW, it just doesn't get more accurate than that."

Why in the heck does the news media keep mentioning how well behaved and orderly the vatican crowds are? What did they expect body surfing and drunken brawls??
I just want to say that Jabba the hut was really cool, and he is most likely my fave character in SW, well one of them....my e-mail is jabbathehelgaQuote:

Stan, I get your borg pic and the name, I have been a fan for 10 years and TNG was a very good series, me and my brother had a ST marathon with his friends and we watched the whole DS9 series and drank raktachino
LOL I agree...that's what I found starnge now that you make me think about it... But I think they want to underline how impressive it is that something in Italy (ok vatican but it's heavily surrounded by Italy) is going on perfectly from the point of view of organisation (we're not used to being the examples in organisation! :D)...it's definitely the first time as they said on tv here...We have still tomorrow to make some mess though...Quote:

uhh....yeah.....thanks Stan, for the wonderful photo of your wish-I-could-be-him persona. And actually, I know who Jutta the Hab is, I was just fooling with the name....I knew Jabba before you were even a 'screw' in the Borg machinery......so to speak........ hehehe *wonders if that'll get past the censor*
Ok, this thought is not exactly random. However it is the only thought that has been in my head since Sunday.
WARNING: RANT AHEAD
What the hell is wrong with people in Glasgow? I am currently truly ashamed to say that I am a fan of Glasgow Rangers Football Club.
They have always been associated with protestantism, however I overlooked the years of refusing to sign players of the Catholic faith. I didn't pay attention to it because I was far more interested in just watching the games.
Once I became a little older, I began to understand the references being made in the songs, like the battle of the boyne; King William of Orange; being up to their knees in fenian blood. Once I understood these references I stopped attending the matches, only watching on TV from then on.
However the events of Sunday have made me physically sick, and I am seriously considering stopping paying attention to the team.
During their match on Sunday, sections of the crowd seemed to take extreme pleasure in singing about how the Pope was dead. This was completely beyond the realm of acceptable behaviour in society (even in Glasgow where society has become nearly non-existent) I had expected some chants due to the contingent of moronic, bigoted, generally insane "fans"(often they are supporters of the likes of Ian Paisley) who come over from Northern Ireland to watch the games. The volume of the songs however make me quite sure that it was not a minority involved.
RANT OVER
My commiserations. I've always been intrigued by Scottish football. Like the religion of Glasgow, it all seems to be about two teams. Which makes life rather boring for the likes of Hearts or Hibs or Aberdeen. Being an atheist, Gretna are probably the natural analogy for me (despite their great achievements this year, they only manage to muster a thousand or so fans for a game).
But, to get back to your point. It does appear rather pointless to me to have a religious faith that glories in the sufferings of people with other beliefs.
I suddenly remember this day, when this lady came to our house and brought along a small radio. It seemed that she was selling it to my mother in need of money. I was still 6 years old at that time. Me and my brothers were so excited since we have no other entertaiment at home at that time. My mom bought it and she said "Now we can hear great Christmas songs and music this year".
