Interesting clip of Gustaf Gründgens. Many years ago I was visiting the Nymphenburg palace in Munich with a friend and she introduced me to a man who was the image of Gründgens. He was very polite, even courtly, and when he left, she said to me: "He's a member of an old German aristocratic family; he's homosexual of course." Plus ça change.

You know, it always makes me smile when you provide a link to such a gem - and when you write in German. I rather like that.

A waltz by Johann Strauss II (Son). There is nothing more beautiful than a waltz.
The moon is late coming out tonight. Gotta hear something smooth.

Vienna will always be the home of the waltz and the Kaiser Walzer has very special memories for me. This recording is as close as I can get to the one I heard in a student night club in Munich's Schwabing district many years ago.
