Southhampton Dock ~ Pink Floyd...you know, Pink Floyd songs really don't work well in shuffles...
It may earn you a few brownie points as long as you don't follow it up with Scissor Sisters or something.Quote:

Here's Where The Story Ends ~ The Sundays
I know, I know but sometimes you're just in the mood for a random sampling of your catalogue and I don't have any control over what the party shuffle plays. It's made some very strange choices today, it seems to be particularly fond of the Jesus Christ Superstar soundtrack  I really should go back and unclick all those songs so they stop popping up...oh wait...I guess I do have control over what the party shuffle plays! :goof:
Murder ~ David Gilmour
I have over 2000 songs in my library and I like that the shuffle sometimes brings up songs I otherwise wouldn't listen to but Jesus Christ Superstar is in there for nostalgia purposes, not necessarily to be listened to with any regularity...and I have to unclick the discs I've downloaded for work because while Chu Chu Ch'Boogie might be ok when I'm in a room with a bunch of toddlers, it's something altogether different when I'm sitting at my computer. :p
And Aimus, silence makes me incredibly nervous, in fact I'm nervous right now just knowing that it's silent somewhere half-way across the world. ;)

scarecrow(syd barrett)
The black and green scarecrow as everyone knows
Stood with a bird on his hat and straw everywhere.
He didn't care.
He stood in a field where barley grows.
His head did no thinking
His arms didn't move except when the wind cut up
Rough and mice ran around on the ground
He stood in a field where barley grows.
The black and green scarecrow is sadder than me
But now he's resigned to his fate
'Cause life's not unkind - he doesn't mind.
He stood in a field where barley grows.
Ah...Syd...This is a good one of his, Jugband Blues, from Saucerful of Secrets. I just love this song in a very bittersweet way because it was obviously written by someone who was losing touch with reality.
It's awfully considerate of you to think of me here
And I'm much obliged to you for making it clear that I'm not here.
And I never knew the moon could be so big
And I never knew the moon could be so blue
And I'm grateful that you threw away my old shoes
And brought me here instead dressed in red
And I'm wondering who could be writing this song.
I don't care if the sun don't shine
And I don't care if nothing is mine
And I don't care if I'm nervous with you
I'll do my loving in the winter.
And the sea isn't green
And I love the Queen
And what exactly is a dream
And what exactly is a joke.
