How many pets do you have?
Down to 2 household pets, kitties - Tinker Bell & Rosie and 1-dog (Maya) that has to stay at my sister-in-law's home across the property because Maya doesn't like cats... So 3 total. At one time we had quite a menagerie.
What was the last movie you saw at a Drive-In ?... or if none in a movie theater ?
I think tailor you got "how many" mixed up with "ask a question to the person below?"
I have a new homeless cat I just lured in the house.
the area I grew up in, and now live in, used to have three drive-in movies theaters. now there is only one. i cant remember the last one i saw at them, but i do remembering seeing the remake of the thing with kurt Russell somewhere---maybe it was here, or maybe it was where i went to college in central ny. boy memories are funny things!
have not been to a movie theater since 2005 or 2006. it was either the lion, the witch, and the wardrobe which i think is magnificent, or revenge of the sith which i thought was terrible, but upon giving it further chances upgraded to tolerable. George lucas cannot write dialog, hayden Christiansen is wooden, he and natalie portman had no chemistry, and Samuel L Jackson was probably miscast as a jedi master.
how any days/weeks/months worth of a food supply do you have at home?
Yup. Happens when I have 30 tabs open and sleep deprived.
I've been trying for a year's supply... but have, most realistically, 1 month for the two of us that would ultimately be shared for 10 family members. Luckily we have 2-hunters in the local family of 10 and plenty of game.
How many power outages have you had within the last year ?
similar things happen to me too. sometimes its even worse when im replying to multiple messages to different people and I send a message meant for one person to another! ack!
I have a funny drive-in movie memory. my freshman year in college I got a ride to where a good friend of mine was going to school. on a lark I said "lets hitchhike to x place to see so and so" (who oddly enough we were close friends with). we got there, she was gone for the weekend, we were wondering what to do with ourselves and we found out that dawn of the dead was playing at a drive-in theater not far from campus. I don't remember exactly how we go to the theater but not having a vehicle, we had to hitchhike our way inside.
its hard to calculate but I have mayyyyyyyyybe close to a year and a half to two yrs if I have to eek it out.
I have a memory of at least one, maybe two. generally theyre not long ones, a few hours to an occasional overnight. the extra challenge for me when that happens is no running water.
how many movies in your all time favorite list (and what are they?)
Yeah, power outages are the worst... We have a generator for the plethora of outages we get; have to turn off most everything to power our well every now and then to fill our holding tank that supplies two households / the other household has a separate well... expecting power to go out tonite...
Movies, hmmm: 100's
I posted yesterday/today? about The Last Starfighter, anything to do with Time Travel - ie Edge of Tomorrow and ilk, Captain Marvel, Legend, assorted 20 minutes of Top Gun, 1/2 of the Marvel Universe of films, John Carter, Fantasia, the Sean Connery Bond movies, Prometheus, The First Men in the Moon, Star Trek The Voyage Home, lots of 50's Sci-fi especiallyWhen Worlds Collide and The Day the Earth Stood Still... going to leave it there before these cyclone winds knock out my power and wifi.
Power outages are seldom here, but Internet crashed the day before yesterday.
Some favorite Films (there are so many!):
Dodeskaden, The Idiot, Dreams, all by Akira Kurosava
Midnight Cowboy
The Sound of Music with Julie Andrews
Life is a Miracle-Emir Kusturica
Macunaíma
There are many much more recent ones, but I forgot the names
How many songs or musical pieces do you usually hear per day?
Dozens... I also have earworms constantly battling my tinnitus when not playing music... the most recent (both by the B-52's): Rock Lobster and Love Shack... " tin roooof ! - rusted " :)
How many fake houseplants are in your home ?
love shack is such a fun song.
tailor though, as to movies, I think we need to sharpen your definition of "favorites!"
no fake plants. I have 4 vegetable plants im trying to keep alive through the winter. I live amongst the trees and direct sunlight is hard to come by so its a struggle.
how many relatively common foods are on your "I cant eat this" list?
re: definition of "favorites!" - lol, my bell curve of favorites is very flat.
re: I can't eat this list - hot peppers, anything on the "hot" spectrum: however many that is.
How many libraries within about a 10 mile/16 km radius of you ?
There is the big Biblioteca Mário de Andrade at a five minutes walk. And maybe there is also one at the Jewish Museum around the corner.
Same question.
two libraries, mayyyyyybe three. maybeeeeeeeeee four. one about 4 miles away in the village of the town where I live, and another right at the edge of your 10 mile radius in the city I grew up in. there is 3rd heading east in a very small village that is probably 10ish miles, and the 4th in another village heading north. now that im thinking about it, there might be a 5th about 10ish miles away heading south just over the Pennsylvania border.
the one north of here has book sales where on the last day they would have a bag sale for 2 dollars. they have since raised their prices. I used to have an "in" with the woman who ran the sale, and after it was over, I would get all the leftover books they weren't keeping, for free.
I visit the one in the village relatively frequently. the high speed internet is nice and I also get a lot of movies on dvd, some from them, most from interlibrary loan. the county I live in and the county directly to the west, has all their libraries tied in together and a couple of drivers that make trips two days a week to move requested materials from one to the other.
I was at the city library recently and took out a book there---probably the first one since I was ten years old.
what the problem with hot things tailor?
how many hours a day do you sleep and how many hours a day would you like to sleep?
Anything between 6 and 8. I wake up refreshed, so I reckon I'm getting the sleep I need.
How many images on the wall facing you ATM?
re: "what the problem with hot things tailor?" Maybe a better term for 'hot' things is overly spicy... can't handle .

How many days until your favorite holiday ?
do they wreak havoc on your stomach tailor?
I think when youre a kid and you have family, its hard to beat Christmas as the favorite holiday. in general so many holidays are family and friend oriented but the older I get and the more isolated I get, the less holidays matter. from a purely intellectual and spiritual point of view however, it has to be easter, which is the calendar tells me is 90 days away. but its not like something your put into terms like "I cant wait until easter!"
how many countries outside of your own have you been to?
dag nab double posting!
Peppers 'burn' my mouth and throat... last attack happened after eating what I thought was a mild jalopy pepper; I became panicked because I couldn't catch my breath.
re: "but its not like something your put into terms like "I cant wait until (E)aster!""... (lol) I can't wait :)
Other countries = 0 :( I am going to Italy before my demise... hopefully via England and France :)
How many coins are in your pocket/purse/other ?
ive been to England bunches tailor, and france a few times. both great places to visit. do you have anything in particular there youd like to see or do?
oh that's tough---I love peppers and would miss them if I couldn't have them. although the really hot ones can be a challenge. and I love hot sauce too. I just bought bunches on 50% off Christmas clearance.
zero coins in my pocket. I faithfully deposit them in an antique jug I have sitting nearby. when its full I hope to donate half somewhere, and use the rest for something else I don't know what yet. I do however keep one spare quarter out, in my car, in order to use the grocery carts at aldi.
thinking ahead, give your best guess of how many books you'll likely read this year?
England... I still have family somewhere in the Twickenham - London general area; I haven't any contacts though my Sister does and she's going either this year or next on the way to visit my Brother's villa in Italy... I think she has to pay the renewal fee for my Grandfather's grave. My Mother talked of great gardens she frequented. Supposedly I'm remotely related to the Spencers... would like to do some family history while there and also check out where my maternal Grandfather retired, somewhere on the (I assume East) coast seaside.
France... I studied French 2nd, 6th-9th grades (German 10th-12th), and developed an appreciation of the art scene in Paris... museums, cafes, etc.
Pay for grocery carts ?????? I have a jar that tallies my coins after they come out of my pockets which is rare; though my Son-in-law scans every coin anyone ever gets first for rare coins.
What thread is this ? Oh, how many...
How many red bricks in your home ? (round to the nearest 100 or 1000 or ____ if needed)
