Ha ha ha - That's great Mono. You have actually just summed up what has happened at work here today
I love the trun this thread has taken...it has become more of a random venting of activities at work thread... :D ...speaking of such...I do believe that I am the only person in the entire city that can actually read the name of buildings, and the address...so many people call, and are all: oh man, I'm standing at the corner o the intersection looking around, and I just can't find the building...
Me: er, do you see the big grey brick thing...thats it.
:D
As long as were venting about work: AAAAARRRGGGHHHHH! The new Superintendent and plant manager decided to change the attendence policy, they did this behind a closed door and didn't tell anyone except the chick that keeps track - now the whole plant is asking me about it and all I can say is "I don't know". They also did the same thing a few months back regarding an employee and drug testing - the 2 made a decision and didn't have the guts to stand up in front of the plant and explan their decision, instead I had to give my standard "I don't know". These are the same 2 guys who always say "We need to be a team" *pffftttt* I don't think they know the definition!!
beep...beep...Beep
Bleep?
Why? Why? why?
why would anyone take that attitude???
:eek2:
Here I am, where is everyone?

What does it seem about nature that always brightens my spirits? This morning, I felt horribly depressed, and almost did not want to attend a day-long hiking trip a friend and I had planned. Regardless, I forced myself.
The closer and closer we got to our destination, many forests, waterfalls, rivers, and lakes leading to it, I gradually felt my mood lightening, incessantly bringing smiles to my face, joking, and anticipating the hike.
In all, we ambled roughly 12 miles (slighly over 19 kilometers), and by the end, besides feeling exhausted, I had not felt that elated since my last trip there (about a month ago).
No matter how much I meditate on the subject of what amazes me, enthalls me, and fulfills me with transcendence in nature, I shall never know, and hardly what to know, desiring more to leave it in the unknown.
" when I die don't bury me, in a box in a cold hard cemetery
out in the garden would be much better...."
Why is it a single verse from a song can sing round your head for days a wake you up at night??
Woohoo, I just saw, and (mostly) heard the first single of the new IRON MAIDEN! Album, 'A Matter of life And Death'. The single is called 'The Reincarnation Of Benjamin Breeg' I have no idea who the guy is, but it sounds fantastic! :D:D:D:D:D:D
You can listen to it by clicking THIS beware though, as it is a windows media player stream.
"I am so glad I discovered TWLOHA ....not only is their meaning amazing, but they led me to Paramore!!"
By doing a stupid movie!
Why do people feel compelled to butcher prfectlly good books on the screen? Sure not all adaptations are a traversy and disgrace. But Some! :rage: :rage:
Why?!Why?!Why?!Why?!
Wow, very soon it will be klondike days here in edmonton, and though, I usually on casually attend the parade...from My office window, I never thought I would miss it...but since I have moved offices, and no longer can waste time watching the parade...it seems a little part o me has withered...the part that enjoys wasting time...damn work killing my happy side. heh, I don't know which smiley is approp. happy, sad... or just have meloncholic.
How about a goof smilie stan? :goof:
Im thinking of getting "not very smart please explain " tattooed to my forehead that way people wont just assume I know things.
You know what really really annoys me?
Its referance books or factual sources that are wrong.
Take wikkipedia for eg it says that costantinople fell to the Ottamans in 1453 when it didnt it well to the Abassyanns and then they lost it to the fatimyian and eventually it was lost to the ottamans at least 200 years later.
Why dont they check their facts
Ugh, I have had the same trouble, Nightshade. Wikipedia.com consists of essays made from users and everyday visitors of the site. Of course, high scholars and very well-educated people may have contributed to them, but nothing appears completely factual or correct.Quote:

Yes but the whole article is based on this misfact so the whole thing would need scrapping and my history isnt that competent.
but it worse in published referance books when they misquote a source then base all these long winded conclusions on the error. but when I wantted to write a little note and stick it in the margine of the book ( it was a library book ) I got told to forget about it
:D ahh well I suppose I am a wee bit pedantic about facts.
1) I can still fit in the paddling pool.( this is especially great in this heat wave as it means I can cool down quickly)
2) I have to reach and strech for everything which apparantly means I end up with a nice waist.
3) I never have to mess with light bulbs becsue I cant reach them.
..... its goot to be just about 5ft tall.
:D
Night? What is a 'paddling pool'?
I was just thinking about my childhood, when I was between four and ten. We used to go to our (summer) residence in Lower Austria during summer vacation and the pictures we have of that time paint a picture so different from what is happening these days.
There are lots of photos of my brother and I in the photoalbum I'm now looking at and I do not even remember them all. Just a few. It all seems so long ago now. And for now it is. Perhaps, in twenty years or so, ten years out of 40 won't seem so much anymore.

Oh, I see. Thanks for the information. :)
Sometimes Mozilla Firefox really, really, really, really bothers me. When surfing around pages, sometimes a separate window appears stating Firefox must close 'due to an error;' it did this today before sending a very long e-mail.
To my brother who recommended that I get Mozilla Firefox, I smite thee!
Grrrr . . . :crash:
:D your welcome like I said good tyo be short or I wouldnt fit
ohh poor you Mono ....whats firefox??
Firefox is a browser just like Internet Explorer from Microsoft or Netscape. The speciality of this browser is that on the same view under different tabs you can open many web pages, instead of opening them seperately as is the case with IE. Also, there are options like continue from previous page or start fresh.
What strange version of Firefox you have I do not know, but it must be broken. Firefox is far more stable than 'GASP!' Internet Crasher by Microdaft.Quote:

Wow, that's weird, Mono. . . I love my Firefox. Sorry to hear you're having issues with it.
I hate being unable to look at certain threads and stories for fear of accidently coming across spoilers to "PotC 2". And I won't be able to watch it before the weekend. :(
Even though I am yet to encounter a problem with Wikipedia as a reliable source, I have often heard it from other people that it is not.Quote:

İstanbul is famous as one of the most often besieged cities in the world. Before the Turkish conquest its assailants included the Arabs (673–78, 717–18), the Bulgarians (813, 913), and the armies of the Fourth Crusade, which twice succeeded in taking the city (1203, 1204). After Constantinople fell to the Turks in 1453, the city became the capital of the Ottoman, or Turkish, Empire;
If you search the net, you will come across many 'reliable' sources agreeing with History Channel's website as well.
Yeah, I noticed that too, having a bit of an interest in history, but I was too lazy to point it out, besides, I love the changes in history more than I like actual history.
hey.. i just thought i was sleeping in a room called the room of requirements.."rowling must have jinxed me" i repeated to myself
i am not asleep
Life is so strange that makes me feel strange which makes the world normal to me.
Have any of you ever used 'Google Earth?' My goodness, I love that program!
For those unfamiliar, 'Google Earth' you can find as a free download online, and use satellites in space to visualize any part of the earth from far to close distances (zooming in and out). Wow, I stand amazed!
