The Tale of Pendragon
In a far away place where few may find him,
In a cavern, all lined with gold--
Piled up to the roof both before and behind him,
Lived a Dragon from the days of old.
He did not desire sacrifice of purest maiden,
He held no hatred for any brave knight;
He mined his own anthracite to keep his table laden,
His own oil-wells provided his drink each night.
If by some chance he chose to have a bit of beef,
Human form was no hard thing for him to apply;
And some farmer would find himself rich beyond belief,
When some dark stranger made a cattle buy.
So why would any man with right good common brains
Bother fighting such a peaceful dragon? 'Tis insane!

Yeah, foreigners say that. I think so too. Filipinos are primarily Malay but due to inhabitants and foreign conquerors that have ruled for almost 400 years like the Spaniards, Japanese and Americans and the Chinese who traded with us, we look like a mix of everything. But mostly it's still Malay.

Uh-huh, you said it. A religion from here, a private school from there, basketball here, a swearword from there (!), really, it's hard from the people who lived at that time, who's been in the middle of all of it. The elders before knew how to speak in fluent Spanish, and more fluent English than today, sadly. The government has an issue of English proficiency in the country to resolve and soon, I say, before we get far behind other progressing countries.
