In a game of chess? Hopefully, but I am terrible under pressure, as I have a bad habit of imagining how the loser feels and then allowing this to affect my play. Same for most games.

In this day in age that'd be tough as you would need a certain amount of cash - otherwise it's impossible. I'd say an isolated island like Tortuga off Haiti or the Dominican Republic - even western Brazil. I'd need a certain amount of corruption to be inherent in the country and would need cash and low cost of living - and a somewhat isolated place even in todays age of mass communication.
