Walden -- because it is filled with page-after-page descriptions of the tinniest details: 40 pages to describe a house, 5 pages to describe ants, etc. . . . Honestly, I much prefer description to dialogue, heck even to plot most of the time.

The book is 'A Thousand Splendid Suns.' by Khaled Hosseini. The quote is (well it's not a quote as such, but more of a statement) 'She quickly shook her head in what she recognized as her first lie in their marriage.'
How long would it take you to read a book; let's say around 400 pages?

If i had nothing else to do? About four and a half hours or so - I don't really know.

400 page book and I read an average of 37 pages an hour = 10.8 hours.

No, I'm a - stick in the mud. I need to have them laid neatly on a plate. Before touching them. (Plus I am fussy, don't take well to can food. I cook all my meals.)
