somedays its countless many, other days its a handful of purposeful selections; but today, just one so far, "the house that built me" by Miranda lambert. a very melancholy song that brings tears to my eyes.

10º celsius or less. That's when it really start's to get intolerable. But than again... i'm from Portugal. I think there was never a day in which in was 10º celsius or less in the afternoon where i live lol

I had four pieces of pizza yesterday with an old friend who is up visiting family at the locally famous and very unique tasting pizza place that goes back to high school hangout days.

I will just answer about last year:
Spain - Seville and Cádiz; and, as i also mentioned in another topic, i dedicated last year to explore my own country, Portugal - i visited Porto and Coimbra. You should all visit this cities!

I have just now returned from Buenos Aires which is a beautiful city. I should love to visit Portugal and Spain, Lendo. The problem for us on the other side of the Atlantic is that travelling to Europe is very expensive.
None as yet. I have to reread Faust II and some other German plays for an essay, that I´m writing.

ive only finished one so far, unbroken by laura Hillenbrand (great book) but im partway through 3 others. tom jones by henry fielding (its about 800 pages and very dense), the signers of the declaration (of independence) and Frederick douglass' narrative of the life of Frederick douglass, an American slave.
I might have finished leonard koppett's a thinking fans guide to baseball in 2017 but for sure I started it in 2016, so it doesn't wholly count.
no set amount, but a day very rarely ever goes by when I don't read; so as soon as one book is finished, the next one starts. the amount will be contingent on whether they are easy fascinating reads (like unbroken) or large, difficult ones like tom jones (it seems like all the sentences are a minimum of five lines long!)
how many pages in the book youre presently reading?
From all these books I´ve only read Tom Jones and that a long time ago. What I remember about the book today, is that there is a kind of sumary of content at the beginning of each chapter. I am not a great fan of Fielding but I find his irreverence refreshing in comparison to his contemporaneous peer, the moralist Richardson.
Haven´t started reading jet.

ive got at least one other book by fielding, but given the effort im putting into tom jones, and the many hundreds of other things I have to read, im skeptical i'll be getting to it anytime soon. its a chore, but not a bad one.

I think one of the reason I´m not reading a specific book is that I have to finish an essay about several plays.

A lot of them. I'm Portuguese, we found most of the African continent, and we colonized many modern countries and territories, so in our History lessons we learn very early about many african countries. Portugal was actually the kingdon that initiate the african colonization, in 1415, with the conqueror of Ceuta, in nowadays Morrocco. And Portugal was the last country to leave the african territories: Angola, Mozambique, Guinea, São Tomé e Príncipe and Cape Green.
