A beautiful documentary about the stray cats of Istambul. It used to be in the net, but they have taken it out.
If you can find it,it is a good moment to watch it.
Sweet Istanbul kitties... I'll try to find the documentary :)
I watched Kitty Love on Netflix :)
danik i'll have to check on this to be sure---I belong to an international penpal site and recently one of my penpals and I have been talking about animals. she mentioned something about strays in Istanbul and the work that one of her countrymen (she's from Italy) has been doing there. I wonder if there is an overlap between him, and your documentary.
hello kitty goes to the movies which is apparently something on YouTube?
That would be great. She certainly knows the docu. It´s good to watch it at a time of so much destruction, because, beside the cats, it shows a lovingly portrayed Istambul, the city Turks of tolerance, love and liberty, the Turks want not only for their cats but also for themselves.
Hello Kitty's Furry Tale Theater (1987)
I know she told me a name of a person, but I couldn't find it. when we next interact i'll ask her specifically about that. we had been talking about animals, and turkey, and she made a connection:
"The very first time this Islamic population won my heart was knowing they lovingly treat all the strays in Istanbul (esp dogs), who'r considered unclean, thus unpopular in most other Islamic states including most Christian-Buddhist countries!"
by the way, Chagall is one of her favorite artists.
im watching rio but I haven't spotted you yet.
if I can cheat, and allow "kitty" to morph into "cat," i'll go with
cat people with nastassia kinski. she has a curse that sometimes makes her turn into a black panther!
Cat Ballou - Elliot Silverstein
Bounty, you won´t spot me in "Rio" as I am in São Paulo. And I am none of these cute araras.
A Street Cat Called Bob-Roger Spotiswoode
Bob, Son Of Battle - Louis King
I have that book tailor.
danik, I don't belong to twitter and my internet is too slow to get to this link, but given you are such a cat fancier, and we've recently talked about turkey, you might like this:
"Everything Isn’t Awful
"In Turkey, firefighters saved this cat from underneath rubble after the earthquake.
"Now, the cat refuses to leave their side.

star trek: beyond
danik, it turns out I was remembering my conversation with my penpal wrongly. the main country in question was Ukraine, not turkey (except for that one little quote I shared with you).
English isn't her first language so its a little rough but fairly easy to follow along. you might like a lot of what she says:
"Our Italian miracle worker, Andrea Cisternino, animal rights activist and activist who in 2012 founded an animal shelter near Kiev, Rifugio Italia Kj2, where he currently takes care around 400 animals. refuge Kj2 is located 45 minutes from the capital, near the village of Lisovychi,
now almost uninhabited and has become a reference as a shelter for the animals of people who flee. Divine protected him and shelter from the Russians.
"Currently reading his incredible book "Not out of courage but out of love" then two others waiting in line. Just beginning into his autographed book and am already choked in tears...my son Rex and all his animal loving friends had the privilege of hearing Cisternino's talk in our local book store two months ago. I couldn't go bcz of my leg issue then. But we feel blessed and honoured to have known a beautiful soul alike St. Francis who exists in our times coz I would have died of a broken heart in this line of work. I couldn't even watch any happy ending Dodo vids without tearing up each time...
"Lost that good link I've saved, a really complete article about him in English. Most found here are in Italian...

Never mind, Bounty. One of the links had a paywall but I was so amazed at the Pigasso, that I shared the thread in another forum.
