For sure, I think the desire to survive to too strong, even in this challenging circumstance. No matter what one may endure or whatever the obstacle may be, I think many would at least attempt to overcome any dangerous and despairing predicament and live to see the next day.

Would you agree to undergo a partial face transplant, after been horrifically attacked by some animal, if suddenly you were told that the donar was a close friend or relative?

*Doctors recently performed the world's first partial face transplant, in France, after a women was attacked by her dog last year.

yes I read about it , and yet she continues to smoke even though she risks rejection, sheesh.
The thought of it grosses me right out but if it meant a chance to continue my work with the broken, with children and if my relative had specified he/she thought it was a good thing, then okay. really thought provoking question.

I have never understood what that really meant as our 'modern' supercool rich countries are in my mind the real impoverished ones. please forgive any hurt I caused. hm.. generally i avoid including myself in other peoples love lives. The whole fuss about "does he love me?" and the "chase" of "catching" someone, annoys me. i have completely different relationships with people, and love seems to evolve untill it hits me in the face, whereupon, i inform the subject of my emotions, usually in some creative way.

I think I would let my friend know of my intentions and then try and find the person-in-question's preference. But only after establishing that regardless of the outcome, my friend and I will be mature enough to remain friends.
