Interesting find, tailor.I also have difficulty in relating the image to the poem. But there is a mistake in the word schöne whitch may be deliberate or not.

It thus reveals the Ether, blue, brilliant of the day." But in the poem it seems to be the opposite. The dawn dissolving mysterys and returning the habitual aspects of the surroundings.
