I have. If you improve at your job, then you might get a promotion. Nonetheless, being good at my job makes me feel good about me, so I see it as in my self interest. My job though in the last decade or so has gotten good at providing requests that will enhance our abilities. For the guys that work for me, I pretty much approve whatever book or training class they want to take, as long as it's relevant and reasonable. I believe that resources of a company/organiztion is not only in the material equipment, but more importantly in the intellectual capital of the personnel.

That makes no odds, being nude is shocking for less than 2 minutes - any shame or embarrassment disappears rapidly thereafter. So, for me, if there were a reason, other than mere exhibitionism, to be nude in front of other people, that would be no problem. But then, neither would a ten minute speech.

It would depend if I had a long journey ahead of me or if it was just 10 miles to home. If I was travelling some distance I would stop to pick the maniac up. Also it would depend on the weather....if it was raining I'd stop anyway, but if it was a nice night I would be less inclined to.

You understand that I live in the mountains, in a small town. You don't expect trouble here. But we had a serial killer come through, kill at least 3, leave one for dead who surrvived and eventually was the link that sent him to prison. The scary thing is, I went to school with this guy. I knew him, and would have given him a ride without even blinking. Two others that I went to school with are now in prison for murdering their families. You never really know people. Last week, another went up for a serious crime. Safety first is my motto.

I actually had to do just that once and nearly lost my life. I was nineteen and desperate to get to another city and all transportation had ceased by that hour. The guy pulled over and asked me what I thought if he took me a different direction and .....
I calmly said someone would find out and he would probably lose his life. He thought about it a moment and began driving once more. When I reached close to my destination I hardly waited for the car to stop.


If you were in a thin plastic boat alone in the middle of the ocean and noticed a tiny hole in the floor and there were sharks about, would you risk moving over to try to seal it somehow knowing the very thiness of the plastic might rip under your weight?
