Looking forward to it, Mystyry.
I drew this while I was waiting for supply shipments for sculptures. Then I played with the colors on my phone. It's a boredom drawing...

How wonderful our Var is!! http://smilys.net/winkende_smilies/smiley2550.gif
And all the other works and artists behind them too http://smilys.net/other_smilies/smiley5161.gif http://smilies-gifs.com/hola-adios/13hola-adios.gif http://smilies-gifs.com/aplaudir/5aplaudir.gif
I have been experimenting with bullets and came up with a few variations to be used in future projects. I think some of them are close to real bullets, though the 50 cal ones (the two long bullets at the bottom) turned out less shiny than I would like... probably the last one at the bottom-right corner looks better, though still a bit spotty... I wouldn't really mind the spots if they looked shinier. I'm not fully satisfied
Nice work by all :) I too like the drawing of the girl a lot :)
Some more miniatures by me, these are ancient Germanic, ancient Persian, Medieval Aztec and Fantasy Orcish towns:

Just don't hold your breath - my life is so full of distractions and being thrust that way and this, that pretty much anything can happen from minute to minute ;)
Boredom with attitude I say!
Another self portraity piece? And the colour has significance, Goldie?
Who are they for? (I don't mean intended for? :) ) Though I see what you mean about the lack of shine. Can you maybe put them through the Photoshop light filter - it isn't perfect but it can help. I did it once but at this moment I can't remember what on #put scratch head smiley here#
I like the Orcish ones! (For their unusuality)
During ongoing experimentations I discovered I was using Paint.Net's Shape 3D plug-in rather wrongly, especially the lighting feature. Today I came up with what I think to be a more realistic 50 cal bullet. I will post it soon, and in the meantime I will go pick a few targets! :p :D
Cool Max - They're a lot shinier now!
And... Outer Space Agency! How did you render them again? Looks unreal - at least sci fi unreal! ;)
:)
Since I've been building a fleet I decided it was best to open my own space agency business :p
Everything was done on Paint.Net, throughout several days experimenting with textures and the splendid Shape 3D plug-in (whose very many capabilities hadn't been thoroughly explored till then).
Planet textures come from a combination of the clouds and heightmap effects, being the latter the evil effect that gives a texture a coarse elevated appearance. Then the Shape 3D thing renders the textures onto a sphere through various lighting and angle adjustments.
Spaceships follow a similar process. Their metal skins can be done in several ways. A stained metal surface can be achieved through the clouds effect, then applying a motion blur to give it a groovy look, and finally adjusting colors. A more polished metal skin can be done through a multigradient turned into B&W, then picking a suitable color. Once the basic texture is ready, every part of the spaceship needs to be done separately due to the Shape 3D plug-in limitations (it can only render simple 3D objects like spheres, boxes, cylinders, bullet-like cylinders, all their half-section variants, and other less conventional shapes). Fortunately this plug-in allows to load/save settings. I had to create different settings for every wing, fin, rocket, and whatever part, then calculate angles, lighting position, final position of the finished part when assembled to the other parts, and so on. It's been time consuming and it's surely inferior to what one can achieve on a 3D modeling software, but curiosity led to explore the possibilities of the Shape 3D plug-in, and to discover that a plethora of shapes comes out of it depending on how it's used.
Bullets were the first results from the Shape 3D thing, which later gave birth to the spaceships, and to three missile models for a space battle scene that will be depicted on the forthcoming episode.
I'm hoping everything looks reasonably realistic http://smiles.kolobok.us/standart/sc...one-s_head.gif
I've been away too long. I was commissioned to design chef's coats for action figures. I've missed everyone and thank you so much for the compliments on my stuff! It is self portraity insofar as I draw what's familiar, especially when I'm bored (it's easier). I'm not as pretty as my art, but I like that too.
Some great artwork has been happening here! I'm working on an elf sculpture. I'll post pictures of that soon. Happy Valentine's! :)
I think if your art is pretty, then you must be undoubtedly pretty :) I hope your commission has been successful http://smiles.kolobok.us/standart/ok.gif
Do contact! http://smiles.kolobok.us/standart/ok.gif :p
Thank you AG! :)
Wow! There's been so much good art on here!
Maxey, I can see you're improving a lot! :thumbs_up I love the bullets and the space ships! :D
Kyriakos, I always enjoy your sets!
Mystyr, That ship at sea is amazing!!!:p
Varenne, keep up the good work!
Since it's been a minute since I've posted anything, here's one I've done in the past...month? I've actually been writing lately, and I'm on a small art block, but I'm working slowly but surely through it. This piece actually took the longest on the line art. The coloring was quite easy. :) Can you guess who this is supposed to be?

Thank you Beau! http://smiles.kolobok.us/personal/hi.gif Very kind of you http://smiles.kolobok.us/standart/thank_you.gif
The tail reminds me of Pikachu, if I am correct... Has Pikachu acquired a humanlike anatomy? http://smiles.kolobok.us/standart/sc...one-s_head.gif Looks wonderful to me, as everything you draw :)
Thank you, Beautifull! Your picture looks great. I love his eyes and the gradient peachy background.
