No. That is why I didn't follow my father into military service--he served in both Korea and 'Nam, not as a draftee, but as a volunteer for the army. Of course back then he would have been sent anyway as a draftee, but he would only have had to serve in Korea. The two tours of duty in 'Nam were all volunteer, and he continued to serve in the National Guard for the next 14 years after 'Nam. I was going to volunteer, but as I talked to the recruiters, they began to promise me the moon for joining up, so I figured there had to be a catch somewhere!
