Well lets see I took one of the little ones to the cinema on saterday to see Night at the Museum, had an inkling it would be good because another sister went quite out of charcter and offered to take her to see the film and shed already seen it. It was ace, I couldnt stop chuckling through the whole film, so if you have kids and its still on near you take 'em. Or dont and just go yourself:D.
Another film I watched yesterday was The Adventures of Pricilla queen of the Desert, now that was another good film, I really enjoyed watching Guy Pearce mouthing the words to Mamma Mia. The only objection I had to it was we dont find out how mitsy came to marry grace. Sill awfully good if not for everyone.
I just watched Snake on a Plane. I was kind of surprised that I liked it.

I last saw The Libertine with Johnny Depp. I love Johnny, he's so pretty I want to cry!!! The movie was a little bit trippy (and a bit more sexual than I was expecting) but I LOVED it!!!! Definitly not a movie to see with your kids, but I think a movie definilty worth seeing.

Well, the thing is... interesting, to say the least. I remember having heard some critics say that Dustin Hoffman was not only inappropriate and bizarre in this film but that he positively ruined the thing. Said I, "Surely not. The man's not that bad." I fear, however, that they were right. His character is quite possibly the goofiest thing I've encountered in a serious film, and I was quite glad when his role in the film was over. As for the rest, what can one say? A young man goes around killing beautiful young women - apparently thinking absolutely nothing of it - chopping off their hair and boiling their bodies and such in order to extract their "essence" and create perfume.
No, folks, really - it's not a comedy. We are supposed to take this seriously.
The orgy scene is just stupid and totally unnecessary, considering what happens immediately afterward...
Actually, that applies to nearly the whole movie: After seeing the ending, one is left with the feeling of "What the hell did I just spend two hours of my life watching?"

I cried through that whole movie too! Getting a zit on her wedding day... sounds like me. You should see the notebook. it was great, only it will make you cry alot more. trust me.
I loved that movie! It was funny, weird, sad and funny again. Hugo Weaving looked really ugly in drag, but hey not everybody looks good with black lipstick. The music was great too. I am going to have to rent that some time again.Quote:

I haven't. I thought about it, believing there must indeed be something missing from the narrative of the film that would, in the book, perhaps have enhanced the story a bit. I probably will give it a read sometime.Quote:

Where do such people get all this courage from? I have this tendency to imagine myself actually living the story whenever I watch such a movie, and I think what will I do? These people seem so passionate about what they do, they have such strong beliefs.

I just saw Rocky Balboa with my boyfriend. I'd never seen any of the other movies but i really enjoyed it. I got a bit teary-eyed at times.
